KADODE OOIGAWA

KADODE OOIGAWA

An experience-based food park for green tea, agriculture, and tourism. It is one of the largest markets in the prefecture, consisting of a market, restaurant, cafe, kids park, and tenant stores. The aim was to increase the income of local farmers and create a place that would become a hub for local tourism, and it was carried out as a four-party collaboration project involving the Oigawa Agricultural Cooperative, Shimada City, Oigawa Railway, and Central Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. Our company was involved in everything from the basic and implementation plans to design, layout, construction, and tenant leasing. This project was produced by the Tokonatsu Infantry Corps, and we established a design JV with our company as the lead company, and played a central role in promoting the project up to its opening. [Social issues/customer issues/requests] The keywords are [agricultural promotion] and [regional promotion]. This region is one of the leading green tea producing areas in Japan, and tea farmers are absolutely confident in the quality of their tea, but as people are increasingly turning away from green tea, they had the challenge of not knowing how to promote its value or sell it. In addition, despite the Oigawa Railway's steam locomotives and the abundant tourist resources of the Oigawa River Basin, there was an issue of not being able to attract as many tourists as desired, so the goal was to create a base that would become a tourism hub for the region. We tackled the issues of creating a place where local farmers could sell their specialty products with confidence by promoting them in an attractive way, and creating a place where local people could recognize the charm of their local area and be proud of it. [Solution] 1. To be loved by the locals. 2. To make use of local resources. 3. To communicate in an easy-to-understand way We communicated the idea that what is "natural" to the region and farmers is valuable and attractive to people in other regions. By adding entertainment and concept design to it and creating a unique experience, we added value and made it into an attractive product and service. A new Oigawa Railway station was also opened, and it became a hot topic as a complex commercial facility that had never been seen in the region before, and it is bustling with many customers every day. <Our project members> [Sales] Aya Nishimoto, Keisuke Iwasa [Planning] Ryusuke Nomura [design, layout] Noriaki Tamura, Kan Fujimura, Midori Arai [Production and construction] Yoshiyuki Nakamura, Yuuki Saiki, Akihiro Yoshida, Sora Udagawa, Junhiro Kawatani [Leasing] Aya Nishimoto

The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu

The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu

This project involved converting the old Kiyomizu Elementary School building, which has a history of about 90 years and remains in Kiyomizu, Kyoto, into a hotel. It has been reborn as a hotel that combines modern comfort while retaining its distinctive design. We were in charge of architectural design supervision, interiors design, layout, and FF&E concept design and construction. Kiyomizu Elementary School is one of the schools that has been evaluated as a unique building with unique features in its location, exterior decoration, and interiors concept design. Based on the hotel's concept of "engraving memories and connecting them to the future," we paid the utmost respect to the historical Western architecture and its interior space, and concept design to revive memories while preserving and inheriting them. In addition, we fused the architecture and interior space as new functions to express nostalgia and newness. [Client's Issues/Requests] It was necessary to design it so that it would function as a hotel while making use of the architecture of the existing historic elementary school. We also had to have repeated discussions about what kind of hotel would be acceptable to the Kyoto area. [Solution] We worked with creators on every detail, including architecture, landscape, interior, FF&E, artwork, graphics, and uniforms, to create a completely new and unique space. While the corridors and staircases where elementary school children once ran around have been preserved, when you open the doors to the classrooms where the children once studied, you will enter a completely different contemporary world. In order to maximize the value of the existing details that are valuable in the history of the architecture and interior space, we stuck to materials that do not overshadow but highlight them. The reflection of the materials reflected in the semi-gloss finish enhances the existing architectural design. We aimed to create a spatial composition with a "seeming" that can only be experienced here, by coordinating the total design of concept design, graphics, uniforms, etc., and harmonizing the interiors and FF&E concept design in a well-balanced way. <Our project members> [Sales/Project management] Toru Moenuki [design, layout / design supervision] A.N.D.: Ryu Kosaka, Shohei Urata, Hiroki Yasuda / Hiroyuki Nishikawa [FF&E concept design] A.N.D.: Kaori Sano

By combining various technologies such as sound, video, material processing, and airflow control with natural materials, we express the circulation of heaven and earth in the natural world and invite you to a comfortable experience that resonates with the five senses. [Social issues / Customer issues / Requests] Our role was to use Panasonic's technology to materialize the message of the facility's theme, "Enrich your life even more." [Solution] We incorporated healing elements that enrich life and constructed the entire space around concept design concept of "forest." Panasonic's technology was incorporated into a space composed of natural elements, creating a space where you can actually experience comfort. By combining concept design and technology and embodying the space, we created a place where the message of the entire facility can be conveyed. [Customer feedback] Panasonic's spatial solution technology has been physically incorporated into the concept design forest, creating a space that allows many customers to experience nature. Even now, it has become a salon area where many customers can naturally gather, and we feel that it functions as the face of the entrance to Panasonic Center Osaka. "Creating the future of work styles for NOMURA Group" Group company base consolidation project

"Creating the future of work styles for NOMURA Group" Group company base consolidation project

In March 2021, NOMURA, Ltd. opened a new office in the Daiba Garden City Building adjacent to its headquarters (Odaiba, Tokyo) that is suited to the new normal era. The company aims to encourage employees to communicate and demonstrate greater creativity while taking advantage of the diverse work styles and values of NOMURA Group. In 2019, the NOMURA Group launched a group company base consolidation project with the aim of creating an environment in which employees can work together and demonstrate greater synergy. In response to the changes in work styles and social issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company set three keywords, "health," "experiment," and "brand," and explored the nature of real office space in the new normal era to create "future work styles." - We believe that the function of the office in the new normal era will change from a "workplace" to an "innovative space that induces communication," where diverse human resources from inside and outside the company gather and actively exchange opinions and have chance encounters that are unique to the real world. Therefore, the communication space "RESET SPACE_2" was designed with the concept of "Unique Park" and was planned as a park-like space that any employee can use to suit their diverse and unique work styles. 100% fairwood is used. ・CONFERIUM is a proposal for a new conference room area, and is an attempt to "displays the behavior of working styles" that proactively shows unique meetings. The know-how used in displays spaces was applied to office spaces, such as darkening the common corridors to highlight the conference rooms as displays. ・Group addresses were adopted in the creative work area. In addition, the creative floor allows concept design work to be done while keeping in mind the "sense of concept design" such as the sense of scale and texture of materials, which are great strengths when concept design. By clarifying the purpose, it became a low-cost and sophisticated space. This project was planned, designed, construction, and operated by NOMURA Group.

Kiuchi Construction 100 Year History Gallery

Kiuchi Construction 100 Year History Gallery

Shizuoka's Kiuchi Construction Co., Ltd. constructed a new office building as part of its 100 year anniversary project. We were asked to create a gallery to introduce the company's 100 year history in displays, for the purpose of recruiting and communicating with clients. By showcasing the 100 year history chronology from its foundation to the present and the trajectory of its challenges in construction technology, we aimed to deepen the understanding of its history and create a space that can be effectively used as a communication tool for Kiuchi Construction to build the next 100 years. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] • The company requested a design that clearly represents the characteristics of Kiuchi Construction and has a sense of dignity. ・ We were requested to present the information in a way that is easy for recruiters and clients to understand, and for subcontractors to recall projects they had worked on in the past and to have conversations with Kiuchi employees. ・ Regarding displays, we were asked to guarantee renewability. 【 Solution 】 Concrete was used as the core of the space expression in order to express the characteristics of a company that has developed by actively engaging in the concrete business with its own factory. The concrete that underpinned the company's growth has also been used as displays fixtures, allowing the company to feel the weight of its history and creating an impactful appearance. On the wall is a graphic sheet chronology showing the transition of a company from its founding to its post-war reconstruction, which overcame booms and busts while constantly responding to the needs of the times and growing. The showcase in the center shows a diorama model of a moment of technological challenge that has been a milestone in our 100 year history. Instead of displaying the finished building, we used a model of the construction scene to make it easier to understand. In addition, by elaborately representing the people involved in the construction work as a model, we created a realistic displays in which you can hear the sounds of the site and even the breathing and voices of the people of Kiuchi Construction and its partner companies, making it easy to initiate communication. < our company Project Members > 【 Sales 】 Ken Kumagai 【 design, layout 】 Kihiro Kitamura 【 Production/construction 】 Kazuo Maeda

JR Nichinan Line Nichinan Station Building

JR Nichinan Line Nichinan Station Building

~A station building as a community space where everyone can feel comfortable, not just waiting for trains~ Based on the concept of creating a place that fosters community, we conducted workshops and questionnaire surveys with local residents from the concept stage. We identified user needs and reflected them in the design. In order to create an opportunity to experience various cultures through books while spending time in the station building, we also set up a corner where people can read books and picture books. In order to convey the charm of local resources through the use of the station building, we actively used the local specialty "Obi cedar" in various places in the space, and planned and produced the creation of a space where users can experience the charm of Obi cedar through their own experience. [Customer's Issues/Requests] We received a request to turn Nichinan Station, which was a place with no place to go before the renovation and was only a place to get on and off trains, into a place that fosters the local community and feels the "charm of the area." [Solution] In order to convey the appeal of local resources through the use of the station building, we worked with the local design firm, Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. to actively use the local specialty "Obi cedar" throughout the space, and to create an opportunity for users to experience the appeal of Obi cedar through physical experience, we used wood for the station building facade and window frames while harmonizing with the forest behind the station building. In addition, we implemented a sign plan that allows the station to be recognized from afar, and produced a space that harmonizes and blends with the surrounding environment with a wood theme. [Customer feedback] People other than JR users have started to visit the station building, and it has been renovated into an attractive space where local people can gather. We would like to continue using the station building as a place for the local community, such as holding events in the future. <Our project members> [Sales] Ibe Reiko [Planning and production, workshop concept design, and design supervision] Matsumoto Mari ~Related links~ [News releases] ・ NOMURA, Ltd. opens old house restoration facility as first project in public-private partnership to revitalize the local area in Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture ・Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture and NOMURA sign "Comprehensive Partnership Agreement on Regional Revitalization" ・Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture and NOMURA sign "Regional Revitalization Corporate Exchange Program" ・ NOMURA works as a creative partner in co-creating the local community [Media coverage] ・2019.07.05 "Kensetsu Tsuushin Shimbun" ・2020.04.01 "Nichinan Television" ・2020.04.07 "Miyazaki Nichinichi Shimbun" [Related achievements] ・Plus D Nichinan branch ・Kiraku Obi Aiya Residence ・DENKEN PJM Photo: Park concept design Co., Ltd.

G20 Osaka Summit 2019 (public relations displays) Energy and Innovation

A public relations displays space was set up alongside the G20 summit, which attracted 30,000 people from around the world, including press and other related parties. The exhibition area features a floating cutting-edge technology displays with a motif of a futuristic miniature garden floating in the ocean, a food stall-style live kitchen, and a shining white cultural area that expresses hope from the reconstruction to the Olympics. The three different areas are seamlessly connected and fused together to concept design a new style of presentation experience that allows people to relax and enjoy the present of Japan. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] We were asked to express Japan's innovative technology and ideas that will realize a virtuous cycle of environmental conservation and growth, and create a new era that is rich for both people and the planet. [Solution] At the G20 Osaka Summit, we actively worked to reduce waste based on the idea of "3R" + "Renewable sustainable resources," and in the public relations displays, we exhibited cutting-edge technology and spatial concept design for the problem of marine plastic waste. The exhibition is structured to displays Japan's technology and efforts in plastic resource circulation, divided into stages: "reduce," "replace," "reuse," "recycle," "recover," and "displays." It is feared that by 2050 the ocean will contain more plastic waste than fish, so we expressed a beautiful ocean on the floor to promote Japan's commitment to protecting the ocean. <Our project members> [Sales/Project Management] Yuji Hayami, Yasuo Ogawa, Shigeyuki Ishiyama [design, layout] Yutaka Hanaoka, Takayuki Kobayashi [Production/ construction] Yu Kimura, Yoichi Miura, Yukari Isahashi, Shigenori Ueno, Yuka Tabata, Yuki Higashihara

[Social issues/customer issues/requests] There was an issue of wanting an environmental design that would make the aquarium a place of integrated customer satisfaction that goes beyond just exhibiting living things. Shikoku Aquarium is also the gateway to Shikoku. An environmental design appropriate for such a facility was needed. The design expresses the form that is derived by combining the form that Shikoku Aquarium aims for and Nihonkaisui's corporate philosophy. The booth is made up of an aquarium presentation using artificial seawater, which is a company product, and a video presentation that evokes salt art. [Customer feedback] ・Welcome Booth We asked them to create a space that would be displays for the aquarium and also serve as our corporate branding, and it turned out to be a classy booth that harmonizes our main product, salt, with living creatures.
