overview

The Hyogo Prefectural Hyogo-Tsu Museum was established in Hyogo-Tsu, Hyogo-ku, Kobe, where the first prefectural office was located, as a base for promoting the attractions of the prefecture and fostering a sense of hometown pride among the prefecture's residents. It consists of two museums: the Hyogo Hajimarikan, an displays facility that conveys the attractions of the prefecture, such as its origins, history, culture, and industry, and the First Prefectural Office Building, a restored version of the first prefectural office building.

The "Hyogo Hajimarikan" is made up of the "Hyogo Discovery Plaza" which conveys the charms of each of the five Hyogo provinces, the "Invitation to the Hyogo Five Provinces" zone, which consists of a theater with a large curved screen, the "Hyogo Tsu: A Land of Pivots" zone, a permanent displays where you can experience the history of Hyogo Tsu and the founding period of the prefecture, which spans over 1,000 years, and a special displays room. The Kitamae-bune-shaped lantern at the entrance and a bird's-eye view of 150 years ago when the prefecture was founded by a modern bird's-eye view artist invite visitors to "Hyogo Tsu," the city where Hyogo began.

Issues/requests

As the original prefectural capital of Hyogo Prefecture and a port that has existed for more than a thousand years, Hyogotsu was required to create a base for revitalizing the region and creating fans of Hyogo Prefecture by making the most of its identity. There was also a strong request from the local people to make it an attractive town.
On the other hand, most of the materials have been lost due to war damage, development, and natural disasters, and there are few actual materials because they are still under investigation such as excavations. was desired.

solution

With "Hamidas" as the theme, we created software that even people who are not particularly interested in history can enjoy. The large graphic concept design that fill the walls of the permanent displays have clear concept design themes for each era. Red gates are placed at the boundaries of eras, allowing concept design to experience the transition of the eras. We also created experience content based on historical facts, introduced manzai puppets unique to the Kansai region, and created a video that depicts the turbulent drama of the establishment of Hyogo Prefecture in a musical style with music and dance.
