LINE Corporation (currently LINE Yahoo Corporation) Yotsuya Office Expansion Project

LINE Corporation (now LINE Yahoo!), which develops and deploys a wide variety of IT services, relocated Head Office to a new office in Yotsuya to accommodate the increase in employees due to business expansion and to further improve operational efficiency. This was a large-scale project consisting of 10 floors. Based on the company's common concept design concept, "A space that creates WOW," the 23rd floor houses a reception and cafe space, while the top floor (30th floor) features a mobile space where LINERs (employees) can freely rearrange meeting spaces. Functional concept design were also incorporated into the work areas, creating a comfortable workplace.
We were responsible for all aspects of the project, including stacking, layout, interiors concept design, architectural design, and equipment planning, for a total floor area of 21,435.20 m² (approximately 6,500 tsubo). We also manufactured custom-made fixtures during construction.

Since the IT market is an industry in which business expansion occurs frequently, we were asked to create a comfortable and diverse office space that looks ahead to the future. Among them, we wanted a design that takes design and cost into account while making it a flexible and transformable plan.

Based on the concepts of expandability, flexibility, and furniture integration, we pursued LINE modules, from steel partitions to FF&E (front and rear furniture). We considered how everything could be reused. The materials used in this project are based on humble materials that can easily be integrated into other locations, while also taking into consideration furniture that can be reused from other sites. Furthermore, the simple concept design, which makes it easy to find concept design, was enhanced by attention to detail, while the investment plan was balanced by making maximum use of existing infrastructure in terms of cost.
