overview

"Shirokane the Sky" is an atmospheric residential area that blends in with the unique culture of Shirokane and is a large-scale complex urban development that caters to active urban lifestyles, with a total of 1,247 units, including the 45-story east tower, over 150m high and a site area of over 11,000m², and has been built as a landmark of the town. It aims to be a place where families can feel at ease, where they can get familiar with the latest trends, and where working styles are supported, making the lives of a diverse range of people shine.
concept design of the common areas and interiors is based on the concept of "transcending generations and being proud of the world," and aims to create a residence with universal appeal that can be passed down to the next generation with its modern concept design that is accepted worldwide, with the grand entrance being the symbol of this. An extraordinary space is created using water and light. The two towers are based on the theme of "splendor" and "dignity," and the lounges, guest rooms, etc. will be furnished in a variety of styles.
Our company was responsible for supervising the overall interior design of the common areas, as well as for the construction of key concept design elements such as the symbol fins and fabric walls.

Issues/requests

The second floor entrance lobby, connecting the East and West wings, is over 100m long, and the first floor entrance hall of the East wings is a vast space with a ceiling height of nearly 10m. The client's request was to create attractive spaces that would serve as a community hub for the more than 1,200 residents, without making them monotonous. In order to embody the property's concept design concept, the client also wanted concept design that would appeal to both domestic and international targets.

solution

To ensure that the 100m-long entrance lobby is not just a passageway but a place for the residents' community, a concierge, fireplace, art displays, and other facilities are located in the central zone, and concept design is a stately area centered around wood. The east and west sides of the lobby are open, with natural light streaming in. Furthermore, a seating space is planned on a water basin in the east lobby, and rhythm is created in the space with art on the pillars and metal design screens. Furthermore, a dynamic lattice-based lowered wall and hanging plant displays create an awareness of the unity and division of the space, giving the lobby a varied and non-monotonous spatial concept design.
In addition, adjacent to the lobby there are private workspaces, a studio, a kids' room, a gym, a golf range and other amenities, making this a convenient and community-oriented floor for residents.
The first floor lobby features dynamic giant fins finished in the style of weathered brass that exude a powerful and majestic presence, and in response to this, floating artwork that evokes the wind blowing through the rows of platinum ginkgo trees creates an impressive welcoming space for visitors.
