overview

"Marunouchi Street Park (MSP)" is a social experiment project to verify the future state and utilization of Marunouchi Nakadori in Tokyo. “MSP 2022 Winter”, which was held for the 7th time since its start in 2019, expanded the development area from Marunouchi Nakadori to Gyokodori in front of Tokyo Station, making it the largest ever. . We participated as a general planning partner and in charge of operations.

This time the theme is "MSP Twinkle Street."
Block 1 in front of Maru Building was themed around "Twinkle Party," and a Christmas market design, layout collaboration with stores in the Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho area to create a special winter space filled with heartwarming attractions, such as a merry-go-round bench, light quoits, and hot benches surrounding the trees.
Block 2 in front of the Marunouchi 2-chome Building has a theme of "Twinkle Terrace" and will feature a popular street piano performance space, a spot for taking photos with the illuminations in the background, and long hot benches, creating a space where visitors can relax while enjoying the winter illuminations.
And in the first MSP event, the Marunouchi Street Rink was installed on Gyoko-dori Street in front of Tokyo Station, using an environmentally friendly plastic ice rink. This allowed many visitors of all ages and genders to experience the appeal of skating outdoors, and was well received. (Event period: November 29, 2022 - December 25, 2022)

Issues/requests

In response to requests from customers who felt that just having food trucks lined up would be dull when holding the Christmas market, we applied to the public health center for short-term, fixed-time temporary operations for the first time in Chiyoda Ward, and cooked in the glass house we set up. We have created an environment for processing and sales.
Regarding the merry-go-round, we received a request in the form of rental items, but in consideration of the age group that visits the area around the area, we proposed a gorgeous production by applying fluffy benches instead of horses and flower arrangements and illuminations. It was a hit as popular content.
As a social issue, from last year's experience, it was expected that the Christmas illuminations would attract many people every day, so we increased the number of hot benches that can be stayed more than usual, and provided a place where people can stay warmly on Nakadori. Did.
