京都　清水の地に残された約90年の歴史を持つ旧清水小学校の校舎を活用し、ホテルへとコンバージョンさせたプロジェクトです。特徴的な意匠を継承しながら、現代にふさわしい快適性をあわせもつホテルへと生まれ変わりました。当社は建築デザイン監修、内装デザイン・設計、FF＆Eデザイン・工事を担当しました。 清水小学校は、立地や外観上の装飾、内装デザインに唯一無二の特徴をもつ建築として評価された学校のうちのひとつです。ホテルのコンセプト「記憶を刻み、未来へつなぐ」のもと、歴史的な趣を持つ西洋建築とその内部空間に最大限の敬意を払い、保存継承しながら記憶を蘇られせるデザインとしました。また、新しい機能としての建築と内部空間を融合させ、懐かしさと新しさを表現しました。 【お客様の課題/ご要望】 歴史ある既存の小学校の建築を活かしつつホテルとして機能するよう設計する必要がありました。また京都の地域にも受け入れられるホテルのあり方について議論を重ねていく必要がありました。 【解決策】 建築、ランドスケープ、インテリア、FF＆E、アートワーク、グラフィック、ユニフォームと細部に至るまでクリエイターとともに取り組み、全く新しい他にはない空間を創出しました。 かつて小学生が走り回っていた廊下や階段は残しつつ、子供たちが学んでいた教室の扉を開けると、コンテンポラリーな全くの別世界に入り込むことができます。 建築と内部空間の歴史を刻んだ価値ある既存のディテールを最大限に引き立てるため、マテリアルは主張せず素材を引き立たすものにこだわりました。半光沢に映り込む素材の反響が、より既存の建築意匠を引き立たせてくれます。そこにアートワークやグラフィック、ユニフォームなどのデザイントータルコーディネート、内装・FF＆Eのデザインをバランスよく調和させ、ここでしか味わうことのできない「見立て」による空間構成を目指しました。 <当社プロジェクトメンバー＞ 【営業・プロジェクトマネジメント】 萠抜 徹 【デザイン・設計、デザイン監修】 Ａ.Ｎ.Ｄ.：小坂 竜、浦田 晶平、安田 紘基 ／ 西川 裕之 【FF&Eデザイン】 Ａ.Ｎ.Ｄ.：佐野 香織 

乃村工藝社は、2021年3月に本社ビル（東京・お台場）に隣接する台場ガーデンシティビル内に、ニューノーマル時代に対応した新オフィスをオープンしました。乃村工藝社グループの多様な働き方や価値観を活かしながら、社員がコミュニケーションを活性化しよりよいクリエイティビティを発揮していくことを掲げています。乃村工藝社グループは、社員がより一層の連携と相乗効果を発揮する環境を創ることを目的に、グループ会社拠点集約プロジェクトを2019年に始動しました。コロナ禍により生じる働き方の変化や社会課題と向き合い、「未来の働き方」を創るために「健康」「実験」「ブランド」の３つのキーワードを掲げ、ニューノーマル時代のリアルなオフィス空間の在り方を模索しました。・ニューノーマル時代のオフィスの機能は「仕事場」から、社内外の多様な人財が集まりリアルならではの偶発的な出逢いや意見を活発にかわしあう「コミュニケーションを誘発させるイノベーティブな空間」にさらに変わっていくと当社は考えました。そのため、コミュニケーションスペース「RESET SPACE_2（リセットスペース２）」は“Unique Park”をコンセプトとし、多様で個性的な働き方に合わせて社員が誰でも使える公園のような場所を計画。使用木材100％フェアウッドを実現しています。・CONFERIUM（カンファリウム）は新しい会議室エリアの提案であり、個性的な会議を敢えて積極的に見せる「働き方の行動展示」を試みています。共用通路を暗くすることで会議室内を展示として引き立たせる等、展示空間で使うノウハウをオフィス空間に応用しました。・クリエイティブの執務エリアではグループアドレスを採用しました。またクリエイティブフロアは、空間デザインを行う際に大きな強みとなるスケール感や素材感など「デザインの実感」を意識しながらデザインワークをおこなうことができます。目的を鮮明にすることによりローコストで洗練された空間となりました。本プロジェクトは企画・設計・施工・運営まで乃村工藝社グループで実施しています。

Shou-kan was built in 1892 in Nishikatamachi, Hongo-ku, Tokyo, as part of the residence of Count Abe, the former feudal lord of the former Fukuyama domain. In 1971, Tokio Kasuga, founder of Green Stamp Co., Ltd., relocated and restored it to Karuizawa, where it has been used as a memorial hall for the Green Stamp Karuizawa dormitory. In 2020, Shou-kan was renovated at the same time as the new annex as a retreat facility for both Green Stamp Co., Ltd. and Kenedix, Inc. We were responsible for the design and interior administration of the Shou-kan renovation, including seismic retrofitting, as well as the installation of FF&E for the entire facility. [Social Issues / Customer Issues / Requests] Various extensions and renovations have been made since the original relocation, and the only connection to the annex was via a corridor, which caused structural stress and led to subsidence. The entire facility was aging, and the Shoyukan was difficult to use in winter due to Karuizawa's climate, and although it was originally designed with tatami mats, its use had decreased due to changes in Japanese lifestyles. However, they wanted to renovate it while preserving as much of its original appearance as possible. [Solution] After investigating the Shoyukan, they restored it to its original simple form as much as possible, performed a seismic diagnosis, and reinforced the structure to withstand earthquake forces equivalent to those stipulated in the Building Standards Act. The building faces the annex across the courtyard, giving it a sense of unity as a whole facility. While respecting the original design as much as possible, they aimed to extend the period of use, including in winter, except for the coldest months, by installing insulation and air conditioning equipment in the parts that cannot be seen. They installed floor heating and replaced it with flooring, and the walls added for seismic resistance expressed the original walls, fixtures, and image of the time, while the upper half of the space retained as much of the original design as possible. <Our project members> [Sales] Kayumi Tatsumi [Survey, design, layout and interior administration] NAU1: Norio Koito [Production and construction] Mikiya Fujitaka

A storehouse in the samurai residences of Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture has been renovated into a lodging facility. The concept is "KURA STAY," and the hotel is a cultural experience hotel where the lifestyle of the time has been preserved in the storehouse. The hotel consists of three storehouses, the "Bushigura," the "Gakkogura," and the "Tamonogura," for rent. The space incorporates Kakunodate's traditional crafts of birch crafts and Iburi-gakko production scenes, textile art such as plant dyeing, and samurai family crests, providing a local cultural experience throughout the stay. In addition, decorations have been provided in cooperation with local shops, and information is provided within the facility, which also serves as a tourist hub to encourage travel.

Hoshino Resorts' new business model, a hotel specialized in urban tourism, "OMO" was born in the spring of 2018. The first hotel to be operated, "OMO7 Asahikawa", was a rebranding project of a long-established local hotel. The brand concept is "an urban tourism hotel that doesn't just end with sleeping, but raises the excitement of your trip". We proposed a new communication concept design in the hotel market by sprinkling various playful gimmicks in the space that further draw out the appeal of the service content that connects travelers and locals and makes walking around the city more enjoyable.
