In this project, ARTH Group Co., Ltd. (Tosashimizu Resort LLC), which handles lodging business and regional revitalization nationwide, will provide guests with one of the best stays in Asia at Ashizuri Pacific Hotel Hanatsubaki, a long-established inn at Cape Ashizuri, Kochi Prefecture, which has been popular for many years. The aim is to revitalize Tosashimizu City as a whole by revitalizing it as a resort facility called "TheMana Village."

Our facility is located in the naturally rich area of Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park. Although it boasts a spectacular view, the hotel's interiors remained old, as if time had stopped in the Showa era. Initially, the plan was to install a small cafe area, but through repeated discussions, ARTH's vision expanded to revitalize not only the hotel but also Kochi Prefecture as a whole and Tosashimizu City. It was transformed into a complex facility including an Italian restaurant, offering a luxurious space where guests can experience the nature of Ashizuri.

Our company participated from the planning and concept design stage to enhance the facility's appeal, and was responsible for producing the spatial design of the hotel's facade, lobby, common areas, guest rooms, and restaurant. (We also provided design supervision for the guest rooms and Italian restaurant.)

As a creative partner of ARTH, we are producing spaces that lead to attractive town development and revitalization, such as "LOQUAT Nishiizu" (renovating an old private house into an auberge), which we were in charge of in 2021.

With the refurbishment of a long-established hotel in the Showa era, we would like to create a space that brings out the greatest attraction of Cape Ashizuri, the "untouched nature".
We want to increase the level of satisfaction of our visitors during their stay, and sublimate it into a place that makes them want to come back and introduce them even if they are far away.
I want to increase the number of tourists and restore the vitality of the entire town that was lost due to the corona disaster.

We cooperated from the planning stage, and by working together as a team on the design plan, the step-by-step construction plan while operating the hotel, and the long-term overall plan, we solved the issues one by one.

・Italian restaurant “Azzurrissimo”: The pool that was no longer in use was renovated. It has been reborn as an ocean view with a terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean that makes you feel as if you are floating on the sea. Authentic Italian cuisine is served using the abundant ingredients from the mountains of Ashizuri and the Shimanto River. We will create a new flow of people in the area and revitalize the area.

・Suite Room "TheMana Room": Only 2 rooms have a spacious 80㎡ room overlooking the sea, an open terrace, a private open-air bath with a superb view, and a kitchen where you can cook using local ingredients. Not only short stays but also long-term stays are possible.

・Café & Bar: At the spacious sofa seats, you can check in while relaxing the fatigue of a long trip with the expansive ocean and delicious gelato. It is also possible to work while watching the sea of the superb view.

This project, which started as a small plan to set up a café area, eventually expanded beyond the hotel into a grand project involving the entire region, the "TheMana Village" concept, and continues to evolve. . In the future, a vacant house in the neighborhood will be renovated, and a residence villa that can be rented as a whole building will be opened, making it possible to stay for a long time. As a creative partner, we will also work with ARTH to solve the problem of vacant houses in the region.

In all the areas that have been renewed this time, not only is the actual product perfect, but the photos are also good, and I feel that they are naturally spread on SNS every day. In addition, in Tosashimizu City, where depopulation is becoming more serious, 70 young new graduates who wish to join the company have entered, and we are confident that we can contribute to the revitalization of the city with the attractiveness of the facilities and the "TheMana Village" concept. increase.
