CHOOSEBASE SHIBUYA

CHOOSEBASE SHIBUYA

“CHOOSEBASE SHIBUYA” is the first media-type OMO store (*) in the department store business format opened by Sogo & Seibu Co., Ltd. The purpose is to create a new retail business through collaboration with the D2C brand, which has fully renewed the Seibu Shibuya store parking building 1F and is supported by millennials and generation Z. Customers who visit the store can enjoy a new shopping experience that combines online and offline on their smartphones in an immersive space. This time, the EC site will be opened at the same time as the real store, and a new shopping service will be proposed, including a sales format in which products purchased online can be received at the store. Using cutting-edge technology such as AI cameras, we also provide store owners with data that can be used for test marketing, product planning, and service improvement. *OMO store = A store format that integrates customer, product, and inventory information between stores and e-commerce A new department store that was launched based on the idea that creating a place where new generations of customers and new brands can meet is the way a new department store should be. business. While it is a media-type OMO store that utilizes the latest technology to amplify the editorial power unique to department stores with the power of technology, it is also a place where people can experience human consumption without relying too much on technology. Based on the keyword "editing", I aimed to build a world view with margins. The entire store has a spatial configuration in which two thick conductors cross each other, and by tapering slightly from each entrance toward the crossroads, the sense of immersion is enhanced. Four areas called "BASE" are adjacent to the crossroads, and each has a unique material within a common worldview. Taking advantage of the existing characteristics of a semi-basement with a low ceiling, the assorted colors give a hint of the future by intentionally eliminating the warmth of the blue painted floor in a one-color world with no chroma. It has become. The two aisles are drawn to the back by lines of light that draw organic curves, and the galvanized steel panel with a gradation from silver to blue is reminiscent of Blue Moment, creating a mischievous atmosphere unique to the location. also offers a special experience. <Our project members> [Sales/project management] Hiroshige Sakimoto [concept design /basic planning] no.10: Nao Kameda, Shohei Suzuki, Atsushi Watanabe [schematic design / working drawings / interior administration] no.10: Nao Kameda, Suzuki Shohei, Jun Watanabe [Production and construction] Taishi Watamoto, Katsuhiko Kurokawa

Hotel Okura Kyoto Okazaki Bettei

“Hotel Okura Kyoto Okazaki Bettei” opened on January 20, 2022, the first in about 20 years for the Hotel Okura brand in Japan. Our spatial concept design team "RENS" was in charge of overall interior direction and interiors construction and FF&E construction. In Kyoto, there are many world-class traditional crafts that are created by craftsmen using techniques that have been passed down since ancient times. We have created a hotel where you can connect the traditional crafts to the future and feel further possibilities. We are collaborating with GO ON, a project unit made up of six successors of traditional crafts in Kyoto, to create a small luxury space filled with new crafts. You can enjoy a soothing stay in the beauty of modern Kyoto at a hotel where you can feel a tranquil moment reminiscent of an adult retreat. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] (1) Revitalization of Kyoto's traditional crafts (2) Utilization of locally produced and locally consumed materials (3) There were requests for a plan that utilizes the natural environment surrounding Higashiyama and Okazaki Betsuin. 【Solutions】 ① A plan to place traditional Kyoto crafts in various places in collaboration with "GO ON" ② Use Kitayama cedar as floor pillars in the guest rooms ③ A restaurant plan that overlooks the garden connected to Okazaki Betsuin [Customer's voice] We have created a one-of-a-kind hotel suitable for the new era of Kyoto, where you can feel the aesthetics of Kyoto culture everywhere. Bridge for Innovation

Bridge for Innovation

This is a project to build a customer contact point accompanying the relocation of Fujifilm Business Innovation Japan (former Fuji Xerox) to the new office building. We were in charge of the planning, design, design, layout the hands-on showroom "Bridge for Innovation" on the 17th floor of Toyosu Bayside Cross Tower, where the new office will be located. It was a project that needed to function as a showroom to find the direction of customer problem solving and lead to success, while at the same time being required to be a future workplace. I came up with the answer. In the solution experience area, no fixed walls were built at all, and it was composed entirely of highly agile movable fixtures, thoroughly pursuing a variable and movable space. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] It was necessary to enable flexible operation so that furniture layout arrangements in line with business strategies could be constructed in a short period of time. [Solution] We planned 7 types of movable fixtures in order to match the style of operating a variety of booth configurations that are updated on a daily basis to match product characteristics and customer characteristics. Partitions that completely block the line of sight, partitions that allow only half of the line of sight to pass through, and these overlap to create even more variations in transparency. In addition, natural zoning was made possible by not building a fixed wall and making the boundaries of the space conscious by color-coding the floor and ceiling. Under the floor, a flexible infrastructure such as a power supply has been arranged to facilitate functional conversion in the future. Thoroughly pursuing variable and movable spaces was also a challenge to organically control spatial functions without creating walls. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Natsuko Murakami, Shioto Kawashima [Planning] Keita Kobayashi [design, layout] Ryo Onishi, Nobuaki Saka, Yoko Uemura [Production and construction] Shunsaku Kimura, Riku Murata

LOQUAT Nishiizu

LOQUAT Nishiizu

Located in the Toi district of Nishiizu, the Former Suzuki Residence is a large mansion consisting of a main building and three storehouses, and has been popular as a central presence in the area since the Edo period. Keeping in mind the value of spending time with the beauty of the past, we have renovated each building and exterior as an auberge with two rooms for overnight stays. The floor plan of the main building, which gives a feeling of being closed off, has been reconsidered, and the space has been expanded vertically and horizontally to ensure modern comfort. We wanted to inherit the atmosphere of the past by making the most of the spatial individuality of each of the three storehouses and adding a minimal design. Two of them were renovated into lodging buildings with luxurious outdoor open-air baths, and one of them was a lounge. and a function that also serves as a spa. Combined with surrounding accommodation facilities, we have realized an auberge that blends into the community and is loved. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] While Toi has long been popular as a hot spring inn area, there are few variations of restaurants, and there are cafes that serve as sightseeing bases and tourism content that makes use of the food resources of Nishiizu. For many years, the lack of excursion consumption by tourists has been a problem. Rather than prioritizing business profitability, the request was that the facility should be of benefit to the region, and that it would continue to be accepted and loved by tourists and local residents. [Solution] At our company, we believe that it is necessary to respect the passage of time that the buildings have accumulated on this land, find out the flavor of each building, and create a design that can turn them into charm. The floor plan was reviewed while considering the structural burden of the existing non-conforming building. , Sannokura respects the taste of each building, such as the two-story vertical spread and the mud wall hidden behind the board wall, and that becomes the charm of each facility itself. [Customer's voice] As a result of the restoration of the former Suzuki residence, which represents the history of Doi, with extremely high-quality design and construction technology in a short delivery time, not only tourists who come to "LOQUAT Nishiizu" but also the local community Residents also visit the museum almost every day, and it has become a place of relaxation that provides a little bit of richness in their daily lives. Day after day, not only the lodging buildings, but also the restaurants, bakeries, and gelaterias are so busy that they continue to be full or sold out. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Shinya Hiratsuka, Nobuyuki Yagi [Planning] Saki Ninomiya [Design and planning] Norio Koito, Hiroshi Inoue, Tadahiro Nakajima, Ryotaro Tezuka [Production and construction] Atsushi Endo, Takayuki Inoue, Kikuchi field

AW MUSEUM

AW MUSEUM

Aisin A W is a facility where Aisin A W is passing on to young employees and stakeholders the passion and skills of Aisin A W, Japan's first purely domestic AT, the history of the company's efforts to develop a car navigation system, and the passion and skills of its predecessors who rose to the top of the world. In the main space, six stories were developed by using MANGA expressions favored by young people plus the shaping of symbolic scenes to convey the images of the hardships that began with imitation of the West and ended with groping to build unique technologies, with a sense of approaching the perspective of employees at the time. I chose displays as a place where I could feel the heat of our predecessors by encouraging empathy with the lightheartedness of reading MANGA. In addition, we dared to use a 40 year-old building that still retains the breath of the employees of the time to function as a stage setting for displays, leaving some of the AT pallets and grating materials actually used in the factory as fixtures and stages, and created a stage for dialogue among employees and customers. The former conference room area connects small rooms into a large, long, narrow space, and the entire space is presented as a chronology of product technology changes. For the stage construction, AW utilized the AT pallet, which AW has been delivering to the world, to make employees feel both familiarity and pride. This space is a giant chronology of AW's technological prowess that can be felt at a glance and intuitively, as AW continues to be the first and best in the world. < our company Project Members > "Creative Directions" LHC: Mitsuhide Yoshinaga "design, layout" LHC: Yuzo Kosaka, Yuji Tanaka, Akihiro Murayama "Shaping" Kenichi Kishigawa "Sales and Project Management" Takuya Fujioka, Yukari Tange "Production and construction" Shun Ito

[Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] We received a request for an illumination that can be viewed safely and securely during the corona crisis, and an event to send a message to society. [Solution] The venue was decentralized so that it would not be crowded, and in addition to viewing displays, we created and distributed an AR experience that can be enjoyed safely at home and five movies that can be viewed from the website. [Customer's voice] As a result of sending a message through displays at the venue and the official website, it is believed that the visitors and site visitors understood the purpose from the reaction on SNS. As measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we reduced the size of displays at the venue, extended the duration of the exhibition by about 10 days, and extended the lighting hours to distribute the number of visitors. (During the exhibition period, in response to a request from the Tokyo metropolitan government, we were able to turn on the lights for shorter hours until 22:00 on December 18th and until 20:00 on December 21st.) This is a planned exhibition. As part of NOMURA 's efforts to support activities that lead to the promotion of sports, and also in connection with the "COLORS event one year before the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games" held in October 2019, we will provide planning and concept design. Sponsorship was realized in the trial. What did the artist feel when he encountered "para table tennis", what did he think when he tried to incorporate it into his work, and what did he want to convey through the work he created? What I saw from there was a figure that expressed what I saw through each sensibility without stereotypes or preconceptions. We also hope that visitors will break away from their preconceived notions through the expressions of the artists, increase their empathy for parasports, and concept design the works with an open mind. did The elements that make up the space make use of the base material, and the base material associated with each art is also woven. The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu

The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu

This is a project that utilizes the former Shimizu Elementary School building, which has a history of about 90 years, in Shimizu, Kyoto, and converts it into a hotel. While inheriting the characteristic design, it has been reborn as a hotel with modern comfort. We were in charge of architectural design supervision, interior design and design, and FF&E design and construction. Shimizu Elementary School is one of the schools that has been highly evaluated for its unique architecture in terms of its location, exterior decoration, and interior design. Based on the hotel's concept of "engraving memories and linking them to the future," we paid the utmost respect to the historical Western architecture and its internal space, and designed it to revive memories while preserving them. In addition, we combined architecture as a new function with the interior space to express nostalgia and newness. [Customer issues/requests] It was necessary to design the hotel so that it would function as a hotel while making the most of the existing historical elementary school architecture. It was also necessary to hold discussions on how the hotel should be accepted in the Kyoto area. [Solution] We worked with creators on everything from architecture, landscape, interior, FF&E, artwork, graphics, uniforms, and every detail to create a completely new and unique space. While the corridors and stairs where elementary school students used to run around are still there, when you open the door of the classroom where the children were studying, you can enter a completely different contemporary world. In order to maximize the value of the existing details that have carved the history of the architecture and interior space, we were particular about materials that complement the materials without insisting on them. The reflection of the material reflected in the semi-gloss enhances the existing architectural design. In addition, we aimed to create a space composition that can only be enjoyed here by harmonizing the total design coordination of artwork, graphics, uniforms, and the interior and FF&E design in a well-balanced manner. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Toru Moginuki [Design and planning, design supervision] A.N.D.: Ryu Kosaka, Shohei Urata, Hiroki Yasuda / Hiroyuki Nishikawa [FF&E design] A.N.
