OMO5 Yokohama Bashamichi by Hoshino Resorts, a hotel that inherits the history of Bashamichi in Yokohama and serves as a hub in the sky, has opened (January 15, 2026). In a short period of less than a year from planning to completion, our company was in charge of everything from concept design and design to construction. The concept is "CRUISE SHIP," and the entire space is infused with the romance and playfulness of sailing. On the 46th floor, the public space takes advantage of the limitations imposed by the mix of existing tenants and public open space to create a circulating flow that envisions the entire floor as the "interior of a ship." By visiting lounges reminiscent of the bow of a ship, mirror decks that amplify the night view, galleries, and theaters, we have created an exhilarating "shipboard experience." In the guest room design, we have made the most of the existing feature of having an attached kitchen and proposed "ship cabins" where guests can spend intimate time with friends. We have cherished the density that can be created precisely because of the limited space, and have finished it as a functional yet rich space. The design, which reflects the colors and fonts associated with the Hikawa Maru, a ship representative of Yokohama, acts as a switch that shifts your perspective from a voyage above the clouds to a deep dive into the city.
