SKY CIRCUS Sunshine 60 Observatory

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This facility will be closed for renewal in 2022 and reopened on April 18, 2023 as a new facility called Sunshine 60 Observation Deck Tenbo Park" on April 18, 2023. (NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Scope of work: planning, design, leasing, construction, logo creation) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Experience the view and height in various ways The new observatory "SKY CIRCUS Sunshine 60 Observation Deck" (SKY CIRCUS Sunshine 60 Observation Deck), where visitors can enjoy and experience views and heights in various ways, fully reopened on April 21, 2016 (Thursday). This facility has evolved from an observatory for "just looking" to an observatory for "experiencing," based on the concept of "SKY CIRCUS," and offers a variety of state-of-the-art technologies, including VR technology and 4D experiences, interactive animation, and CG animation. The new observatory is a one-of-a-kind observatory where visitors can enjoy the "view" and play with "technology" at the same time. We planned and produced this project in collaboration with Dentsu Inc. The "Infinite Scape" is a giant kaleidoscope-like tunnel of light and mirrors that projects images depicting the changing seasons in Japan, and the "SKY Trampoline" is a vertical leaping trampoline that allows visitors to enjoy the experience of flying through the sky to see the natural landmarks of the four seasons, filmed by drones, Visitors can also enjoy inbound content. Visitors can also enjoy "Kaleidoscope 60," which features 60 kaleidoscopes and a sparkling "CUMOS Cube Kaleidoscope," and "Asobrella NEXT," an entertainment experience that offers views, weather, and simulated experiences, among others. Through industry-academia collaboration with Joshibi University of Art and Design, Osaka University, and other educational institutions, the facility is creating new experiences by transforming technology into entertainment. In this facility NOMURA Co.,Ltd. group, Nomura Development Inc. is in charge of the store "SKY CIRCUS SHOP" and cafe "Cafe Quu Quu Quu" operation, management, Nomura Techno Inc. is in charge of the technical system for the production equipment interiors, and Nomura Products Inc. is in charge of the production, and by utilizing our collective strength, we have created an observation deck that is unlike any other in the world. Nomura Development Inc. was in charge of the technical system for the staging equipment, and Nomura Products Co. <Customer Comments> This project was not a typical observatory renewal project to clean up the environment interiors, but a project to create value for a new observatory, and it was a difficult project to create something from nothing. Therefore, as a client, we were looking for new ideas that would entertain, surprise, and delight the guests. We were able to meet these requirements not by simply making one-sided proposals, but by working together enthusiastically to create them through free and vigorous discussion within the project team and, at times, by presenting the client with bitter criticisms. It was a great benefit for us to experience a new renewal method that was different from the competition style renewals we had done in the past. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Hiroyu Imaizumi, Seiji Yamaguchi, Kenji Higashi [Planning] Kenichi Sakazume, Tetsuro Yasuda, Ai Ichikawa [design, layout] Tamae Takahashi, Yoko Suzuki, Kyoku Okamoto, Masataka Myonaka [Contents planning and concept design] Ryuta Yamada [Signage and graphics concept design] Yasuyuki Chosa [Contents production and construction] Toshiaki Kawabata, Junpei Hino construction Kondo Kobayashi, Keiji Kobayashi, Yuki Kuga, Nomura Techno [interiors] Masao Tomita, Tetsu Hirayama, Yoji Inuma, Nomura Products [operation, management] Kazuhiko Someya, Hajime Mizuno, Harue Inagaki, Yuki Saito ([maintenance management] Yoshitaka Okubo, Kazumasa Takeuchi, Nomura Techno)

ANTEPRIMA Ginza, ANTEPRIMA Casa Cucina

ANTEPRIMA Ginza, ANTEPRIMA Casa Cucina

<Project Overview> This is the largest flagship store in Japan, which opened along Ginza Miyuki Street. This store, which spans three floors from the basement to the second floor above ground, also houses the brand's world-first restaurant business, "ANTEPRIMA CASA CUCINA". The first floor features Anteprima/Wirebag and Anteprima/Misto, the second floor features the Anteprima collection line, and the basement floor houses Anteprima Casa Cucina, creating a flagship store that proposes a wide range of worldviews from fashion to food and beverage. <Client's Challenges> The challenge for "ANTEPRIMA CASA CUCINA," the brand's world-first restaurant business, was to create a home-like space that embodies the identity of Creative Director Izumi Ogino, where customers can feel as if they are visiting a friend's house. Furthermore, the 1st and 2nd floors inherit elements of the new store concept design created together in Roppongi, and based on the concept of Simple, Sophisticated, yet Sexy, the goal was to create a space where customers could feel the brand image throughout the entire store, proposing a refined style backed by high-quality materials and reliable technical skills. <Solution> At "ANTEPRIMA CASA CUCINA," a chef's counter and a U-shaped large counter were placed at the center of the store to create a warm space where conversations between the chef and customers naturally arise, making it feel like visiting a friend's house. In addition, furniture and fixtures that were carefully selected on a trip to Italy with the customers were incorporated into the space to create a home-like atmosphere. On the 1st and 2nd floors, as in Roppongi, artistic fixtures and the curved beauty created by natural wood were used as accents to create a refined and high-quality space. <Our Project Members> [Direction] Ryu Kosaka [Sales & Project Management] Hisayasu Takenaka, Hiroyuki Iizumi, Hiroya Matsumaru, Taisuke Kawagishi [design, layout] Minehito Yoshimura [Production & construction] Masayuki Tabata, Akihiro Yoshida

Kawasaki Azalea Renewal

Kawasaki Azalea Renewal

<Project Overview> This project marks the first comprehensive renovation of Kawasaki Azalea, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The concept of the renovation is "a life-sharing mall where people can share enriching moments in their lives." We assisted in the complete renovation of three zones: DELICHIKA, a large-scale food retail zone equivalent to one-third of Kawasaki Azalea's total area; LIFE GRAND, a lifestyle zone that brings together "somewhat nice" things and experiences; and GOURMESSE, which caters to a wide range of usage scenarios, from "eating alone" to lunch with children, dinner after work, and business dinners with clients. Our company was in charge of environmental design (including basic and implementation), environmental construction (Souzai Chisou, CRYSTAL ROND, etc.), and interior design supervision. <Client's Challenges> ① To restore the ability to attract customers by leveraging the prime location in front of the station, aiming to become a mecca for restaurants, food retailers, and fashion goods, despite various conditions such as the building structure and facilities of the underground public passageway from 30 years ago. ② To maximize the store facade to create a sense of vibrancy and concentration within the store, and to create an environment that enhances purchasing desire. ③ New ways to use the environment from the 1F entrance to the central underground atrium sunlight plaza. <Solutions> ① Create environmental design themes that match the new business type zoning for each area. By setting a core theme zone environment for each area, we succeeded in connecting the passages and increasing the ability to attract customers and improve circulation. ② We reduced construction time and costs by constructing a new facade that covers the existing finishes without removing them. We basically used the existing ceiling and floor, and renovated the shop front and key areas with new designs to the smallest extent possible, creating a sense of renewal with a wide range of contrasts. ③ We created an indoor garden space where people can freely stop by and rest by setting up unique ancillary environments such as lighting fixtures, greenery, FF&E, etc. <Our Project Members> [Development] [Project Management] Hirano, Maekawa, Chida, Ichihashi [Design] Shimoshita, Miura, Endo, Kawakami (NODE) [Signage & Graphic Design] Hoshi, Shinkawa (Nomura Products) [Production & Construction] Takeuchi, Takahashi, Yoshinaga, Akizawa (Nomura Products) [Interior Supervision] Kojima

Hilton Tokyo Bay Room Renovation Project

Hilton Tokyo Bay Room Renovation Project

<Project Overview> This project involves renovating the guest rooms (196 rooms), corridors, and elevator halls on the 6th and 7th floors of Hilton Tokyo Bay. We were able to undertake this project as a design and construction project because we won the design work through a design competition and the interior construction and FF&E work through a construction bid. As a result, we were able to provide a space that meets Hilton's quality standards while also being suitable for business travelers in a resort area, all within a limited construction period and budget. <Client's Challenges> Hilton Tokyo Bay primarily caters to guests visiting Tokyo Disney Resort®, offering fun rooms where guests can experience a fantasy world. Therefore, the theme of this renovation was to provide guest rooms where business travelers and adults enjoying themselves can also relax without feeling out of place. <Solution> The view from this location was remarkably similar to the Tokyo Bay depicted in Katsushika Hokusai's ukiyo-e print "Thirty-Six Views of Tomi Musume," so the design concept was to directly express the materials and colors from the ukiyo-e print in the space. We thought that by doing so, the space would become familiar to Japanese people from long ago, while also being a fresh and uniquely Japanese space for foreigners. We used the distinctive blue gradation of Ukiyo-e prints for the floor, wood from ships floating on the sea for the furniture, and copper plates used in lanterns as accent colors, expressing tranquility and peace throughout the entire space. <Our Project Members> [Sales/Project Management] Masayuki Yoshimori [Design/Planning] Keita Aono/Hiroyuki Sugata/Kyoko Aikawa [Production/Construction] Takayuki Gara

Weathernews in-house nursery school “WNI RAIN KIDS HOUSE”

Weathernews in-house nursery school “WNI RAIN KIDS HOUSE”

[Project Overview] Weathernews Inc. established "WNI RAIN KIDS HOUSE" (pronounced "WNI Rain Kids House"), an in-house daycare center, with the aim of creating an environment where employees can balance childcare and career success. This in-house daycare center was established on the grounds of Makuhari Techno Garden, where the company is located, with the aim of creating an environment where employees can work with peace of mind, and it also has an after-school program that accepts children up to the 6th grade of elementary school. The name "RAIN" in the daycare center reflects the company's wish for children to develop respectfulness, adventurousness, and independence. The company requested a unique spatial design that would express the concept, as well as efficient functionality to accommodate mixed-age childcare by combining a daycare center and after-school program. Our company's project members consist of working fathers and mothers. Leveraging their childcare experience, we planned and designed the naming of each class and the educational programs. The space expresses "RAIN," and every detail, from the logo graphics to the design, reflects Weathernews' unique style. Working in collaboration with Team M, the design and construction also prioritize safety and environmental considerations. [Customer Feedback] We discussed various themes and concepts internally to create a facility unique to Weathernews, and NOMURA Co.,Ltd. skillfully brought that process to life. For example, the logo concept design and concept resonated with our staff, and we were impressed by the idea of drawing a weather map from our founding day on the floor, which we adopted. Thanks to NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Kogeisha's wide range of proposals, we were able to open a wonderful in-house daycare center that truly reflects Weathernews's spirit. Celebration of Light "Tokyo Michiterasu 2015"

Celebration of Light "Tokyo Michiterasu 2015"

[Project Overview] Tokyo Station, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in December 2014, has continued to develop and engrave its history alongside Tokyo's Marunouchi area, one of Japan's leading business districts. With the development of the Tokyo Station Marunouchi Plaza and the redevelopment of the surrounding area progressing, its evolution is moving towards the next 100 years. In 2015, with the wish to illuminate the future brightly from Tokyo's Marunouchi area, the heart of Japan, the "Tokyo Michiterasu 2015" celebration of light was held. Our company assisted with the special illumination of the Tokyo Station Marunouchi building using "traditional Japanese colors" and the illuminated promenade on Gyoko-dori. In the illuminated promenade, visitors were enveloped in light through sculptural illuminations and tree lighting, and the integrated presentation with the station building created a high-quality and dignified space befitting Japan's gateway. In a survey on light-ups/illuminations conducted by the Japan Event Industry Promotion Association on February 10, 2016, the special light-up of the Tokyo Station Marunouchi Building was selected as the number one light-up/illumination event that people would like to see in the future.
