bar/es

bar/es

The red building of Shiseido Parlour, a landmark in Ginza, was conceived as a lighthouse illuminating the streets of Ginza during its construction. With the desire to "create a bar that will become a symbol of Ginza" on the top floor of that building, the aim was to create "an adult bar that can be enjoyed by the many adults who gather in Ginza." Upon exiting the elevator, the reception area is a stark contrast to the dazzling lights that adorn the city, and guests are greeted by the flickering light of candles. The bar area is square, and to make the large space with a maximum ceiling height of over 8 meters even more symbolic, a counter is placed in the center, and above it floats symbolic concept design that represents the "lighthouse light (Symbol)," and, in keeping with the building's concept of the ground floor = "earth" and the top floor 11th floor = "sky," it evokes the "Sun (night sun)," "sparkling light" (Spark), (Shine), and "soul" floating in the "sky." The symbol's red glow is reflected in the metal wall art and antique mirrors, creating a sophisticated atmosphere, while the shadows cast by the artwork on the walls give the space an organic feel. To make the large space feel comfortable, the floor level is varied around the counter. The high counter side is a casual area designed with standing scenes in mind. The low counter side features a purple carpet, the theme color, and comfortable chairs, allowing you to enjoy a relaxed bar experience. There are also private seats behind the bottle shelves, so you can enjoy the bar in a variety of settings. The lounge area at the back is a cozy space with more unique art and furniture, and the flickering of flames, creating an adult space where you can feel the "Social" and "Sexy" aspects of the concept. The "S" in "Bar S" represents the various "S"s of Ginza, creating an adult space.

The Tender House

The Tender House

This project was planned for the area of Platinum Street in Shirokane, lined with restaurants. On a 35-meter-wide site, the aim was to create a building that felt both new and old, with a pleasant atmosphere and a sense of "evoking memories." Aiming to become a landmark in the city as a complex dining space, our company assisted with schematic design and design supervision. A sense of "openness" was required in the architecture, so we created a sense of openness and shielding with folded cement stones, and materials that appear to be eroded by wind and light. This also contributed to creating the atmosphere of "a dry southern land," which was a key concept design word for the interior. Based on a consistent concept, we assisted with everything from interiors concept design to planting and artwork selection to achieve a unified interior that allows you to feel the wind, light, greenery, and water flowing in from the outside. When viewed from the outside, interiors concept design, which extends to the terrace, combines with the landscaping plan to become one of the elements that adorn the facade, and the architectural facade becomes a borrowed landscape from the interior space, creating a space where the inside and outside complement each other. The facility has a dining area, a teppanyaki restaurant, two banquet halls, and a chapel, and all kitchens are either walk-in or open kitchens. The anterooms of the chapel and bucket are separated by glass, emphasizing unobstructed views and spatial continuity within the facility. In addition to being open to the street, the texture created by the materials that have already aged gives the impression that it has been there for a long time, and we believe that it will become a distinctive landmark while also building a close relationship with the city. ◎Our Group Project Members [Sales] Hisayasu Takenaka, Takuya Kitai [Direction] Ryu Kosaka [design, layout] Architecture: Hiroyuki Iizumi Interior: Reiko Saito, Masahiro Hisakane [Production/ construction] Keiji Idei
