[Explanation of the project] The National Convention for the Creation of Rich Seas is held annually in autumn as a wide-ranging national event aimed at raising awareness of the maintenance and cultivation of marine resources and environmental conservation of the sea, as well as deepening awareness of the fishing industry. This is a nationwide tournament. It is customary for Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress to attend, and it is positioned as one of the "Three Great Visits" along with the National Arbor Day and the National Sports Festival. [Overview] The theme of the event is “Relay of Life, Connecting Forests and Rivers to the Sea”. Ceremonial events such as commendation of groups that have contributed to the promotion of the fishery industry are held at Kibo Hall in Sakata City, and young fish are released at Nezugaseki Fishing Port. [Project Summary] Hideyo Noguchi was a great scientist who made his mark on the world. His memorial museum in his hometown of Inawashiro, Fukushima Prefecture, has recently reopened after renovation. How can we allow visitors to appreciate the greatness of this great man more than ever before? displays space has been designed to incorporate a variety of techniques to create a new way displays people. The Morioka Machiya Monogatarikan, a fully renovated and restored sake brewery, main house, and library storehouse, which are preserved buildings in Morioka City, has opened as a new tourist and exchange facility in Morioka. Based on the concept of "encountering nostalgic bustle," the facility was designed to be a place of interaction for visiting residents and tourists, while retaining the historical buildings and atmosphere of the good old Morioka machiya, and to concept design the five new charms of Morioka: "seeing," "experiencing," "interacting," "shopping," and "eating."

Selva in front of Sendai's municipal subway "Izumi Chuo Station" was reopened in the spring of 2014. In Selva's environmental plan, we participated in the concept design concept of "an atelier to enjoy me more" from the concept design planning stage, and were in charge of the design of the environmental production of the common area, construction, AB construction for tenants, and furniture and fixture manufacturing work. Abe Kamabokoten, which has been manufacturing and selling sasa kamaboko since its founding in 1935, has reopened its main store after renovation. The concept is "moto." "Moto" represents the origin, and it embodies the desire to go back to the basics once again for the next generation and widely promote sasa kamaboko, a Sendai specialty. Hiroro Square, which will be used for the city's administrative services, has opened in Hiroro, a building in the redeveloped area in front of Hirosaki Station. Our Tohoku branch has assisted with a wide range of projects, from environmental planning to concept design, construction, and furniture and fixture manufacturing. Hiroro Square combines two functions: providing administrative services and serving as a space for citizens to socialize, and is the foundation of citizens' lives. This is a tourist facility that plays a central role in Tono City's urban vitalization business. It is made up of the "Mukashibanashikura" (Folktale Warehouse), where visitors can have a variety of experiences themed around folk tales, the "Yanagita Kunio displays Hall," which tells of the life and achievements of Yanagita Kunio, the author of "Tono Monogatari," the "Tonoza" (Tono Theatre), where a variety of performances including folk tales and local performing arts are held, and a food and beverage sales facility. The Cultural Environment Research Institute was in charge of planning, design, layout, while Head Office was in charge of production and construction.

This facility opened in 2011 and is currently operated jointly by NOMURA Co.,Ltd. and the Morioka City Tourism and Convention Association as the representative "designated manager." It serves two purposes: as a cultural property exhibition facility housing the precious treasures of the Nanbu family, and as a base for "urban tourism" within Morioka Castle Ruins Park, where a variety of people, including local residents, tourists, and students on school trips, gather to experience the history and traditional culture of the castle town. NOMURA Co.,Ltd. has been involved in the preparations for the facility's opening as the designated manager, and is currently working to provide stable services for local residents and tourists who have been looking forward to its opening, while cherishing its dignity as a facility showcasing Morioka's treasures in the area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.

This is the third experiential museum in Japan (and the first in Tohoku) to realize children's wishes to "meet Anpanman" and "enter the world of Anpanman." We were in charge of major tasks such as commercial planning, design administration and supervision, environmental design and construction, tenant construction, and furniture and fixture manufacturing, and contributed to the creation of the dream space.

Aomori Prefecture has a rich history in Japan's aviation history. Aomori Prefecture and Misawa City joined forces to establish the Aeronautical Science Museum, which opened in 2003. In 2021, NOMURA Co.,Ltd. oversaw the overall renovation work, including a completely new displays, the establishment of a new space zone, and the introduction of roller zips. The museum's management organization includes local businesses and NPOs. As the designated manager, NOMURA Co.,Ltd. is responsible for displays maintenance, the information network, the operation of the video hall, and event planning, including special exhibitions. The museum features an aviation zone displays aircraft related to Aomori Prefecture, a science zone centered around a science experiment workshop led by instructors, and a space zone, which was newly added during the renovation. In addition, the museum also displays the HondaJet Technology Demonstration Aircraft, the only one of its kind in Japan.

Moved by the mysterious stories passed down in the Tono region of Iwate's countryside, Kunio Yanagita wrote "The Tales of Tono," which opened the eyes of Japanese folklore studies and continues to inspire people's imaginations to this day. Now, 100 years after its publication, the museum has been re-examined through "The Tales of Tono" and aims to build a new traditional culture. The story of the creation of Tono unravelled through "The Tales of Tono," and the depictions of the people's activities and climate that became the soil for the stories, as captured by contemporary artists fascinated by "The Tales of Tono," project the mysterious power of this land into displays space, creating an opportunity for each visitor to develop a new "Tales of Tono."
