overview

This is an displays project for the newly established "Akita Inu no Sato" in Odate city, the mecca of the Akita dog. Taking advantage of this rare opportunity to come into contact with real Akita dogs, we have created an displays space where people can enjoy learning about how to interact with Akita dogs and their relationship with Odate city.

[Customer issues/requests]

Since it will be located next to the tourist information center in front of JR Odate Station, it needed to be casual enough for tourists to enjoy, and provide just the right amount of information. In addition, the top priority for the petting area with real dogs was to concept design it in a way that would not cause stress to the dogs, so some ingenuity was required.

【solution】

We created a bright and comfortable space with tents and hammocks, reminiscent of a camp for grown-ups. Inside, you can easily play with stamps and frottage, and learn about the history of Akita dogs born in Odate. The petting corner is displays to be stress-free for the dogs, and cages that are easy to use are installed.
