Takahama City Yakimono no Sato Kawara Museum and Library is operated by NOMURA as a designated manager. It originally opened in 1995 as a museum with a theme of "kawara" (tiles) in Takahama City, Aichi Prefecture, the central production area of Sanshu tiles, which boasts the highest production volume in Japan. Since 2008, the management and operation has been changed to a designated manager, and from April 2023, it has become a complex cultural facility together with the city library. Based on the concept of "A forest of connections where people and cities grow," the museum aims to create a further circulation of feeling, learning, activities, and exchange by connecting various people with the library and museum. Through exhibitions in a wide range of fields including tiles and various projects focusing on regional collaboration, the museum creates a place where various people and things gather under the catchphrase "A museum for everyone." The library provides a familiar library space for everyone at the main building and three facilities in the city, and as a "supportive library," it supports daily life through books.
