Kagaya is a famous Japanese inn with its main store in Wakura Onsen, Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture. In January 2024, Kagaya suffered severe damage from the earthquake that occurred off the coast of the Noto Peninsula. However, at the entrance to the inn, there was a pine tree that stood unaffected by the earthquake, and people were touched by its majestic appearance. Therefore, in creating this store, concept design concept was based on the "pine tree," which is revered as an object of prayer in the Noto region. The counter ceiling located in the center of the store is designed with pine leaves connected together to symbolically express the pine tree stretching up to the sky. The facade is concept design to represent pine leaves stretching up into the Noto sky, creating a warm welcome for visitors. Additionally, a silver-thread belt that has been passed down from generation to generation to female inns is displayed on a display shelf behind the counter, and art and crafts that have been passed down through generations at the inn are scattered throughout the inn, preserving the beauty and techniques of Noto. Together, we created the store, combining Kagaya's traditions, spirit of hospitality, and desire for recovery with the vitality and strength of the Noto pine trees.

We were in charge of design, layout and construction of Mazda's manufacturer showroom in the Tokyo metropolitan area, which aims to provide a place for people to experience and interact with the brand. The "TRANS" in "MAZDA TRANS AOYAMA" means "to change, to overcome," and the meaning behind the name is "We want to be a place that will be a catalyst for positive change." The first floor is a special space where you can experience the brand, with a cafe and goods shop supervised by Itsuki Coffee, which was founded in Miyajima, Hiroshima, and the second floor is a comfortable space where art displays and events and workshops can be held.

This is a renovation project for the Omiya Center Building, located at the west exit of Omiya Station, one of Japan's leading terminal stations. After investigating the area around Omiya Station and identifying issues with the building, which was completed more than 30 years ago, we decided on the theme of "combining dignity and comfort" as the theme for the renovation concept design. In the renovation process, we placed a key focus on improving the satisfaction of existing tenants and aimed to increase the building's presence in terms of both functionality and concept design compared to the surrounding buildings. By preserving the dignity unique to the existing stone material while achieving a good balance between the comfort created by light materials, we minimized the disposal of waste materials due to demolition and created a cost-effective concept design while being conscious of sustainability by combining old and good materials.

The Miyagase Dam Water and Energy Pavilion Water Museum "Waterworks Zone" needed to be renovated after more than 20 years since its opening, and was renewed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the museum's opening. The concept of displays is to create learning opportunities for the "tap water supply business" (introducing the role of the Waterworks Corporation) and to change people's awareness of "tap water" (re-examining water resources and learning about the global environment). By learning about the process, facilities, and work involved in how rainwater stored in the dam reaches our household faucets as tap water, which we don't usually have the opportunity to learn about, visitors can learn about the importance of tap water, which is essential to our lives, and the importance of social infrastructure. In addition, since the surrounding area, including Miyagase Dam, is a tourist destination, the main target audience is social studies field trips from nearby elementary schools and families visiting on weekends. The exhibition features a wide range of digital content, including guidance videos on a large screen, virtual content in which a drone is operated to investigate water facilities, and a simulation of the process of purifying river water. The exhibition also features highly game-like digital content that combines real-life action and computer graphics, as well as displays that allows visitors to virtually experience the work of the corporations that support the water supply business. The exhibition offers a variety of content that can be enjoyed in a short amount of time by visitors with or without a specific purpose.

About 400 years ago, the first Osaka Castle built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi fell in the Summer Siege of Osaka and was buried underground by the Tokugawa Shogunate with a large amount of earth. This project aims to excavate the Toyotomi-era stone walls from the ground after 400 years, renovate them, and open them to the public. In a facility unlike any other in the country that allows visitors to go underground to view the remains, we worked on creating displays that conveys the unique value of Toyotomi-era stone walls, which are different from the stone walls rebuilt by the Tokugawa Shogunate. We created displays story and production that allows visitors to relive the process of identifying the Toyotomi-era stone walls, their characteristics, and the turbulent history that the stone walls have gone through. We also created displays space that feels even more special by overlapping it with the process of visiting the ruins, going from above ground to underground and back again. In addition, we valued the way the stone walls themselves were presented, and conveyed the original appeal of the remains through an integrated production that linked video, lighting, and sound.

This project is to revive Kinokuniya Bookstore's salon, a place of hospitality, on the top floor of the flagship Shinjuku main store building. When the building was constructed in 1964, the company's founder, Moichi Tanabe, created a salon as a social gathering place for the literary world. Time has passed since then, but this space has been lost, so in order to revive it in the present day, we were in charge of design, layout, production, construction, etc. of this new project, following the renovation of the Shinjuku main store, which took place from 2021 to 2023.

This project involved concept design, interiors renovation, and environmental features of the children's corner of Nakano City's Ekoda Library, located in a quiet residential area where children from the neighborhood gather. On the first floor, we replaced the old interiors materials with new ones and created a bookshelf unique to the children's corner, where large books and picture-story shows can be stored. We also created a magazine area for parents to enjoy, creating a space where parents and children can spend time together. In this space, where children are greeted by the library's original characters, "Shishimaru" and "Egotan," inspired by the "Ekoda Lion Dance," an intangible folk cultural property designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, we aimed to give children the impression that libraries are fun places. On the second floor, we installed a new counter and chairs. By using acrylic material for part of the counter, it has become a space where you can quietly read while feeling the faint warmth of the sunlight.

Air Water Hokkaido's new facility, "Air Water Forest," is an open innovation facility that tackles social issues to "achieve a sustainable society" and "achieve a safe, secure, and prosperous lifestyle." Restaurant and cafe "Eureka" was created within this facility as a place to disseminate and share "agriculture and food," one of the Air Water Group's initiatives. The space was developed in collaboration with the architectural concept design so that the concept of the facility, "sustainable and prosperous lifestyle," could be felt in the restaurant. Like the restaurant's name "Eureka" (which means "I found it! I understand it!" in ancient Greek), concept design allows customers to discover the rich land of Hokkaido and the natural deliciousness of the ingredients that grow there.

The Ishikawa Takuboku Memorial Museum, which opened in 1970 with the aim of honoring and preserving the records of Ishikawa Takuboku, one of the most representative poets of modern Japan, will reopen in 2025 with the addition of the Tamayama History and Folklore Museum. The two museums are connected by the concept of the word "hometown" left by Takuboku, and the Takuboku Memorial Museum focuses on the Meiji period when Takuboku lived, while the History and Folklore Museum focuses on the 1950s and 1960s, allowing visitors to see the current Tamayama. The entire space of the Ishikawa Takuboku Memorial Museum is used to depict the 26 years of Takuboku's life and the people's activities to honor him from his death to the present day as a huge timeline. Below the timeline, you can see the collections for each era and Takuboku's words from that time. The central symbolic displays displays the organ that Takuboku actually played, and on the large screen in the background, you can choose to watch two original animations, "Takuboku's Life" and "Takuboku and Hometown." There is also a special displays room and a book browsing corner. Tamayama History and Folklore Museum displays folklore materials donated by local residents, as well as folk performing arts and natural scenes, which are preserved and can be viewed using video and information search systems. In the corridor connecting the two buildings, there is a multipurpose hall where lectures and workshops can be held, a shelf displays called "Tamayama Connecting" where mini special displays can be held, and a "visible storage room" where part of the storage room is made of glass. From the windows, you can see the Saito Family Residence where Takuboku once lived, and Shibutani Elementary School.

This facility is a showroom for condominium sales by Mitsui Fudosan Residential. It is located on the first floor of a building in the center of Sendai city, and taking advantage of its location that is easily visible from outside, the space was designed with the concept of "EN - A place that connects people with people, town with people, inside with outside, and connections" in mind, and was designed with the image of a "veranda" commonly seen in Japanese houses. In the presentation space in the center, a condominium model and video are used to welcome residents with an exciting displays. In the surrounding park-like space that connects to the outside, business negotiations about "living" can also be conducted. In order to promote diversity and inclusion, the company has introduced a paraart subscription service to some of the condominiums in the Sendai area, and is working to provide opportunities for people to support independence and thrive. In order to let many people know about this initiative, art is displayed in part of the meeting space, and a mini gallery introducing paraartists is also set up in a space that resembles a condominium balcony that can be seen immediately from the sidewalk.
