overview

The "Osaka Healthcare Pavilion Nest for Reborn," a joint venture between Osaka Prefecture and Osaka City, the host cities of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, involved industry, academia, government, and the private sector. As the lead company of displays joint venture, our company was responsible for everything from basic planning and schematic design to working drawings and construction. The basic concept was "displays visitors can experience a life where future medicine and healthcare are integrated, and which will also serve as an experiment for future society and contribute to a legacy," and this was expressed through the future of "healthcare," "cities," "food and culture," and "entertainment."

In the main program, the "Reborn Experience Route," participants use a "Body Measurement Pod" to measure their health data and meet their future selves 25 years from now.
By experiencing the future healthcare and urban life envisioned by approximately 20 exhibiting companies, mainly based in Osaka, alongside your future self 25 years from now, you can have an experience that will transform your future self.
displays is imbued with the hope that it will serve as a catalyst for rebirth—that "people can be reborn" and "take a new step"—into a "future society where life shines."

[Characteristics of the work]
With the hope of creating a "future society where life shines," and to serve as a catalyst for "people to be reborn" and "to take a new step forward," we were able to bring together the aspirations of the general producer, advisors, exhibiting companies, and many other stakeholders to make this a reality.

Issues/requests

• Designed with universal concept design in mind, ensuring enjoyment for everyone.
- To create a pavilion worthy of inviting many people from around the world as a "host pavilion."
- To create a pavilion that will delight multi-generational families, student groups of over several hundred people, and visitors from overseas.
- Realizing new experiences, new perspectives, and reborn stories for the future

solution

We participated in UD workshops during the design and construction phases, discussing the ideal form of displays with people with disabilities, and gathered their opinions and requests. We then incorporated these into concept design, planning, and construction.
We researched Osaka technology, Osaka products, and Osaka-based initiatives, approached leading Osaka companies and SU (Supply Chains), and successfully enriched the Reborn content.
Based on research into past exhibitions and site visits to Dubai, we designed the flow of visitors and content while imagining the situation after the opening.
We established meeting bodies and workflows for the design and construction of displays for numerous exhibiting companies, and created various guidelines.
