GINZA SKY WALK 2024

GINZA SKY WALK 2024

Marunouchi Street Park 2023 Winter

Marunouchi Street Park 2023 Winter

"Marunouchi Street Park" is a project that is being carried out as a demonstration experiment of future area management, transforming "road space" into a comfortable "urban park space" in Nakadori, Marunouchi, Tokyo. The winter 2023 event will continue from the summer and examine the state of urban parks in preparation for permanent establishment, while highlighting the illuminations, a winter feature of the Marunouchi area, and providing various content perfect for the holiday season, such as photo spots for visitors to enjoy, a merry-go-round, an ice rink, and a Glass House Market with a wide selection of food and beverages. This time, the concept is "Bright Street - Nakadori in winter, where the city and everyone shines -" and we have taken measures that are in line with the SDGs and trends of the times, such as reusing each market booth used in winter 2022 and remaking the swing-shaped bench that was popular during the summer 2023 event into a photo spot with new decorations. In addition, we have worked to create content that makes use of our past know-how, such as upgrading the "Detour Bench" created in summer 2023 to a bench where you can relax while looking up at the illuminations. In addition, while the official musicians performing on the streets will continue as in the summer, we have also taken on new initiatives in terms of planning, such as inviting a portrait artist this time. In addition, as a continuation of the "Illumination Tour for the Blind" held in the winter of 2021, we held a dialogue tour in which able-bodied people walked blindfolded to deepen their understanding of the visually impaired, creating an opportunity to discuss how to make the streets more comfortable for everyone.

Meiji Park

Meiji Park

Meiji Park is the first metropolitan park to utilize the public installation and management system (Park-PFI) under the Urban Parks Act, and opened in October 2023. The project site is approximately 1.6 hectares of the front yard space of the National Stadium, and the new park is being developed, managed, and operated by Tokyo Legacy Parks Co., Ltd., a consortium of six companies, of which Tokyo Tatemono is the representative constituent organization. We were consulted by Tokyo Tatemono in 2021 and were responsible for the overall planning direction and architectural design supervision. We discussed with the client how to create a new park that embodies the concept of "creating a park that will become a legacy of the city of Tokyo that we can be proud of in the world," and were involved in creating a new park life that meets diverse needs such as well-being and diversity. The park has three plazas, including the approximately 1,000 m2 lawn plaza "Hope Plaza" and the "Michi Plaza" that incorporates a waterscape based on the Shibuya River, as well as the approximately 7,500 m2 wooded area "Pride Forest." Additionally, five retail buildings, which were selected through public competition, have been placed in the park to improve convenience for park users and create a lively atmosphere. Currently, each building is home to cafes, relaxation facilities, restaurants, outdoor activity shops, and more. We were also in charge of the business planning and construction (excluding the sauna area) of the first store of "TOTOPA," an urban spa facility newly developed by the Tokyo Tatemono Group*. Located on the second and third floors of store building A, it features a sauna, a cold bath with a depth of approximately 160 cm, a fitness area, various lounges, and more. *Operator and developer: Tokyo Tatemono, operation: Tokyo Tatemono Resorts

Shibuya Acsh

Shibuya Acsh

This project is an urban redevelopment project for the east side area of Shibuya Station by Tokyu Corporation, and aims to create a new landmark building connecting Shibuya and Aoyama. We were in charge of consulting, leasing, furniture and fixture manufacturing, environmental features building execution, and concept design criteria work. The name "Shibuya Akushu" expresses the desire to connect the streets of Aoyama (AOYAMA) and Shibuya (SHIBUYA) (X: crossing), and to create a facility that induces interaction in a place where a wide variety of people come and go. The meaning of "handshake (akushu)", which is a sign of greeting and friendship, expresses the way different people and cultures connect and mix in this place, and new value is created from there. The area where Shibuya Akushu is located, which extends from Shibuya Station to Aoyama in the east exit area of Shibuya Station (hereinafter referred to as Aoshibu), is surrounded by major roads, which has hindered smooth movement to the surrounding areas, and because it is an office-centered area, there has been a problem of a lack of places where people can gather and create excitement. Therefore, this building is based on the concept of "TSUNAGI-BA," and aims to take advantage of the connection between the food and beverage zone of Shibuya 2-chome and the educational area of Aoyama, and become an icon of "Aoshibu," following in the footsteps of Shibuya's representative areas of Oku-Shibuya and Shibu-Minami. The first to fourth floors of this building are commercial facilities, and the fifth to 23rd floors are offices. The commercial floors will house 15 stores, including restaurants with new business formats and stores opening for the first time in the area, an art gallery, and a health check center, turning the Aoshibu area, which was previously just a pass, into a place of interaction where people can take a break and enjoy a meal.
