Lawson Takanawa Gateway City Store
overview
This project involves the opening of the first "Real×Tech LAWSON" store, utilizing AI and DX technologies, within KDDI's new Head Office.
In addition to establishing the basic concept design for the new store, our Content Integration Center (CIC) leveraged its high level of expertise in technology to propose and produce various ideas, utilizing AI and DX technologies.
Furthermore, the store incorporates sustainability-conscious practices, such as reusing discarded uniforms worn by Lawson store staff as flooring and discarded clothing as panels.
The digital signage installed in the store is linked to "City OS," a data platform that collects, analyzes, and utilizes various urban data, displaying information such as weather, train delays, city congestion, and event information. In addition, the store incorporates many new initiatives aimed at becoming a convenience store that serves as urban infrastructure, including a "cleaning robot" that runs around the store, "digital signage" that uses AI cameras to display recommended products in response to customers' actions (such as reaching for items) in front of shelves, and a "Ponta General Consultation Center" that supports customers in solving everyday problems.
