Kakegawa City indoor playground "mirocco"

Kakegawa City indoor playground "mirocco"

Opened in July 2025 in Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the new indoor playground "mirocco" aims to be a place where children can not only enjoy playing to their heart's content, but also enjoy it with their families and local people. This facility has renovated the pool and hot bath facilities that were located in the indoor facility "Tamarina" in the 22nd Century Hills Park in Mansui, Kakegawa City, and have been renovated into an all-weather playground. While making use of our know-how in regional revitalization and facility business, we were in charge of everything from concept formulation to design, construction of interiors, playground equipment, and decoration, and operation. In addition, as a voluntary business of the DBO* business, we have made private investment to improve the attractiveness of the facility by adding playground equipment, artificial furniture, fixtures, signs, graphics, etc. About Facility Concept/Space concept design The facility concept is "Let's create every day." 365 (3 = Mi / 6 = Ro / 5 = Ko) The naming was decided by voting for "mirocco" with the meaning that it will be a facility where everyone can gather. The four main areas are "Guruguru no Yama" where you can play with playground equipment, "Waku Waku Base" where you can play quietly, "Hitoyasumi Lounge" where adults can relax, and "Hi Hi Hara" where babies can play safely. In addition to these areas, Tamarina will open a new store in Shizuoka Prefecture, "This Is Cafe", offering menus that are easy to use for customers of all ages. In addition, the interior of the facility, such as the interiors, playground equipment, and benches, uses local resources, and uses environmentally friendly materials in various places, such as benches using prefectural logged wood, workshop spaces that use scraps and waste materials as work materials, and plastering walls using "soil" from the Kakegawa River. *DBO: Abbreviation for Design Build Operate (design, construction, and operation), one of the business methods when developing public facilities. The public entrusts the design, construction, and operation of facilities to private operators.

Meiji Park

Meiji Park

Meiji Park, a Tokyo Metropolitan Park, opened in October 2023 as the first Tokyo Metropolitan Park to utilize the Public-Private Partnership (Park-PFI) system based on the Urban Parks Act. The project site covers approximately 1.6 hectares of the front yard space of the National Stadium, and Tokyo Legacy Parks Co., Ltd., a consortium of six companies with Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. as the representative organization, is responsible for the development, management, and operation of the new park. Our company was consulted by Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. in 2021 and was in charge of overall planning direction and architectural design supervision. We worked closely with the client to create a new park that embodies the concept of "creating a park that will become a legacy of Tokyo, a city that the world can be proud of," and were involved in creating a new park life that meets diverse needs such as well-being and diversity. The park includes three plazas, such as the approximately 1,000 m² lawn area "Hope Plaza" and the "Path Plaza" which incorporates a water feature inspired by the Shibuya River, as well as a wooded area of approximately 7,500 m² called "Pride Forest." Furthermore, we created a lively atmosphere by incorporating publicly solicited park facilities (five retail buildings) to improve convenience for park users. Currently, each building houses a cafe, relaxation facilities, restaurants, and an outdoor activity shop. We also handled the business planning and construction (excluding the sauna area) of the first "TOTOPA" urban spa facility newly developed by Tokyo Tatemono Group*. Located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Building A of the retail complex, it features a sauna, a cold plunge pool with a depth of approximately 160cm, a fitness area, and various lounges. *Developer: Tokyo Tatemono, Operator: Tokyo Tatemono Resort

Hamamatsu Science Museum Miraira

Hamamatsu Science Museum Miraira

The science museum has been renovated due to the aging of the facilities and displays items of the existing science museum. We obtained a proposal using the DBO* method, which integrates design, construction, and operation, and completed the construction in a short period of about one and a half years from schematic design. With the main purpose of providing active learning-type learning, we plan displays experience stories as a basic policy that leads to in-depth learning through voluntary actions by arousing interest from experience. The displays space, which is zoned with six themes consisting of nature, power, sound, light, space, and new technology, has almost all more than 100 new science experience devices, centered on a large centerpiece displays that symbolizes each zone that can be participated by a large number of people. With the cooperation of companies representing Hamamatsu, displays were developed throughout the museum to arouse interest in local industries. In addition, the science museum has introduced the world's first scientific information learning system (app) equipped with AI (artificial intelligence) to realize a new way of communication concept design that expands interest and knowledge through dialogue. In addition to the displays room, the entrance welcome displays with art by local artist Yasuhiro Suzuki, as well as a children's science land, cafes, shops, and an outdoor science park, have been renovated to make it a comfortable place for not only children but also adults concept design while incorporating elements of a science museum. *DBO (Design, Build, Operate): A method of public-private partnership in which design, construction, maintenance, and operation are comprehensively ordered to private companies.

Saga Prefectural Space Science Museum《Yumeginga》

Saga Prefectural Space Science Museum《Yumeginga》

The Saga Prefectural Space Science Museum "Yumeginga" was established in 1999 as a communication facility connecting people and science. Since 2006, our company has been the representative of the "designated manager," and currently operates it jointly with Mabec Co., Ltd. The concept is to "nurture children's scientific spirit," "convey the wonder of discovery and creation," and "discover and recognize a comprehensive understanding of space, Earth, and Saga, and their relationship to oneself." Along with displays that enhance learning, we have planned displays that cater to tourists and are noteworthy enough to be shared nationwide. The facility has three zones: the "Saga Discovery Zone," the "Earth Discovery Zone," and the "Space Discovery Zone," and our company was in charge of all zones when it opened. Over the course of a quarter of a century since its opening, the "Earth Discovery Zone" underwent a complete renovation, and in 2024, the "Space Discovery Zone" underwent a complete renovation. The concept for the renovation of the "Space Discovery Zone," which is full of excitement like the stars in space, is "A long journey to space." This exhibition connects two perspectives—space science, which seeks to unravel the mysteries of the universe, and space activities, in which humanity challenges itself to explore space—through the theme of "life." The entire displays space grandly depicts where our lives originate, where we are headed, and how we interact with the universe. Furthermore, the aim is to create displays experience that makes the universe feel closer and broadens visitors' perspectives, leading them to the two existing zones on other floors.
