Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture

This museum, which brings together valuable materials on Nagasaki's international exchanges, opened in November 2005.
The museum attracted attention for being the first prefectural-level museum to introduce a designated manager system that included the curatorial department. NOMURA Co.,Ltd. has been involved in the operation of the facility as the designated manager since its opening.
Leveraging our comprehensive capabilities, we conduct exhibitions and events, while also actively engaging in activities with the cooperation of citizens, such as having volunteers recreate court proceedings in skits at the restored magistrate's office. Furthermore, we play a role as a research center for "Nagasaki Studies," and we operate with a system in place to ensure the continuity of cultural administration in cooperation with the facility's owner.
