overview

It opened in November 2005 and brings together valuable materials related to Nagasaki's overseas exchanges.
It attracted attention for being the first prefectural-level museum to introduce a designated manager system that includes a curatorial department. Since its opening, NOMURA has been involved in facility management as the designated manager.

While we utilize our comprehensive capabilities to hold exhibitions and events, we also actively engage in activities with the cooperation of citizens, such as volunteers recreating court judgments in skits at the restored magistrate's office. It also plays a role as a research center for Nagasaki Studies, and operates in collaboration with its founder to ensure the continuity of cultural administration.
