Saitama Prefectural River Museum

It opened in 1997 as the nation's first comprehensive museum on river systems. Currently, it is operated by NOMURA Co.,Ltd. as the designated administrator.
displays showcases the relationship between the rivers of Saitama, particularly the Arakawa River, and the lives of the people, conveying the footsteps of those who lived alongside the rivers, and serving as a place for local history and environmental education. Outdoors, there are water-related facilities such as a 1/1000 scale model of the Arakawa River, the largest waterwheel in Japan, and a water athletics course.
