Tokyo Metropolitan Waterworks History Museum
overview
The Tokyo Waterworks Museum, which opened in 1995, is a facility that promotes the history and culture of Tokyo's waterworks from the Edo period to the modern era.
The building consists of three floors: <1F: History of Modern Waterworks>, <2F: History of Edo Waterworks>, and <3F: Library and Lecture Hall>. The first and third floors have been renovated.
Beyond simply renovating displays space, we are also implementing measures to broaden the scope of facility operations, such as creating a library of video materials and introducing audio guides (in Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese).
Furthermore, we have been entrusted with the operation of the facility after its reopening, and we are expanding the scope of operations by providing guided tours of displays by attendants (in Japanese and English), holding special exhibitions and events, and introducing AR guided tours, while also promoting the water supply business.
