Panasonic Creative Museum AkeruE

Panasonic Creative Museum AkeruE

This Creative Museum opened as the successor to RiSuPia, which opened in 2006 within the Panasonic Center Tokyo. Based on STEAM education, it is a space for exploratory learning on themes such as the SDGs. It fosters children's intellectual curiosity and inspiration, providing an environment where they can both learn and experience making things and experiences. The space was designed around five themes to unleash curiosity and motivation for creativity: "It's okay to get dirty," "It feels like you can make it yourself," "It can be rearranged," "It feels like you're outside the box," and "It concept design like a collaborative session." Furthermore, from an SDG perspective, the existing environment was cleverly reused and updated, incorporating concept design motifs. The spatial concept design also expresses the project team's desire to build on the history of the predecessor museum and to create new history. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Yamazaki Kei [Direction] Yamaguchi Akane [design, layout] Koga Sayaka, Tani Seiho, Sasai Ayumu, Nakade Mikiyuki [Production and construction] Kumazawa Yuta, Asakura Yumi ~Related links~ [Release] ・ NOMURA Co.,Ltd., Ltd.'s social good activities: The case of AkeruE Creating a space that fosters children's intellectual curiosity and inspiration for a better recycling society of the future [nomlog] ・How AkeruE came about. Nagoya City Science Museum Aichi-Nagoya Nobel Laureate Memorial Room

Nagoya City Science Museum Aichi-Nagoya Nobel Laureate Memorial Room

Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City jointly opened this facility in the basement of the Life Science displays of the Nagoya City Science Museum, a registered museum, to deepen understanding of Nobel Prize winners with ties to Aichi and Nagoya through explanations of the research for which they received the award, items related to that research, and hands-on exhibits, as well as to convey their backgrounds, personalities, and messages to visitors. It is a hybrid space with movable unit displays, and when all the equipment is moved and stored and the roll-back chairs are deployed, it becomes a hall with approximately 200 seats. We were in charge of the basic concept and basic plan for this facility, as well as facility renovation, displays design, and displays production and installation work. (Production content included unit production, lighting and audio equipment, video software and hardware, models, sign graphics, etc.) Nagoya City Science Museum, Life Science Building: SRC structure, 6F above ground/2F B1, total floor area 6,816.13 m², displays area (total of 5 rooms) approx. 2,500 u (including approx. 300 u on B2F of the Memorial Room) [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] 1. A "hybrid renovation design" that allows the different functions of the hall (auditorium) and displays room to be quickly converted. 2. "displays" of the personalities of the award winners and their passion for science, different from displays at universities and research facilities, and "experiential equipment" for the contents of the award-winning research as displays at the science museum. We received the above two requests. [Solution] Regarding 1.: We adopted wall-mounted seating (rollback chairs), secured a self-propelled displays booth and storage space, and adopted a scene dimming manager that can be used for a variety of purposes. Regarding ②: We have created experiences and games that incorporate playful elements from the content of real answers and information provided through direct interviews with the laureates, and thorough analysis of the contents of the prize-winning research. [Customer feedback] We received the following comments at the time of the opening. ・There are many Nobel Prize displays rooms all over Japan, but this displays gives the best understanding of the prize! (Professor Hiroshi Amano) ・As a Nobel Prize displays, it is packed with a variety of unique ideas, and children can have fun while learning about the laureates and their research. Marunouchi Street Park 2021 Winter

Marunouchi Street Park 2021 Winter

Launched in 2019, "Marunouchi Street Park" is a social experiment project designed to explore the future of Marunouchi Nakadori Street and how it can be utilized. Based on the spatial concept of "Amazing Winter Streets," the park created three approximately 300-meter blocks, each offering a warm and inviting experience while enjoying illuminations. Block 1, themed "Wonder Dining!", featured a playful area with a glasshouse where visitors could dine while enjoying the illuminations, tree hammocks, and a large chess table. Block 2, themed "Wonder Lounge!", featured a two-story hut serving as both a general information center and shop. It also featured a postbox with a simulated flame for posting purchased Christmas cards, a billiards table under the illuminations, and a fire pit where visitors could relax and enjoy playing street piano. Block 3, themed "Wonder Terrace!", features a "Corridor of Light" covered in mirrors and an "Artists on the Fire Terrace," where artists can create art around a fake fire in a fireplace. (Dates: December 2-25, 2021) Hosted by our company, the "Illumination Tour for the Visually Impaired 2021 Winter" is a walking tour with the theme of "dialogue" that aims to provide a truly comfortable spatial experience for everyone. Volunteer staff will escort visually impaired visitors through three blocks (total length approximately 300 meters) of the beautiful winter illuminations of Nakadori Street, creating a program that will warm both the body and mind and allow them to enjoy the experience through conversations that will warm their hearts and minds. During the "Marunouchi Street Park 2021 Summer" (August-September) event, we observed visually impaired people using the park, so we conducted interviews with people who have been blind since birth. The results included, "The places I want to go are places I've been to once and enjoyed," "I'm nervous about taking the first step when going somewhere new," "I didn't know Marunouchi was a park," and "Because I'm blind, I use my imagination to enjoy things." Therefore, if we could convey the charm of Marunouchi in a friendly and careful manner by "using methods that clearly communicate with the visually impaired" and "providing guidance with reliable support," we believe they will want to "return" and fall even more in love with Marunouchi Nakadori. We also believe that this tour could provide an opportunity for "everyone" to "feel, connect, and spend time with the seasons." This led us to organize this tour. <Our project members> [Project Director] Suzuki Echiyo [Sales] Ishiyama Shigeyuki, Yamamoto Hitomi [Planning] CIC: Saito Yusuke [Operations Management] CIC: Ando Kaoru [concept design] Sakuma Tonoyoshi, Ozawa Kazuki, Matsubara Miwa [Architectural Advisor] NAU: Okamoto Kiwami [Production] Marumori Yukio, Sasaki Ikuya, Yamaguchi Yuta, Kawashima Ayaka ~Related Links~ [Announcement] ・"Marunouchi Street Park Illumination Tour!" sponsored NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Marunouchi Street Park 2021 Summer

Marunouchi Street Park 2021 Summer

Launched in 2019, "Marunouchi Street Park" is a social experiment project designed to explore the future of Marunouchi Nakadori Street and how it can be utilized. Based on the spatial concept of "Connecting Summer Streets," the project focused on Marunouchi's distinctive culture, community, and people. Each of the three approximately 300-meter blocks was designed with a unique theme, reflecting the city's unique connections to culture, the community, and people. Block 1, located in front of the Maru Building, was themed "Sports & Relax," creating a wellness street where people can exercise, relax, and refresh themselves, featuring a ping-pong counter and a deck with balance balls. Block 2, themed "Enjoy Eating Out," offers the enjoyment of dining in a parklet surrounded by fairwood while enjoying outdoor live painting by artists based on the SDGs and street piano. Block 3, themed "PARKcation," featured a grass-covered workspace and bicycle counter, reminiscent of swaying grassy hills, and a summer beach resort scene using Okinawan coral sand, all of which were well-received. In terms of safety and health, we implemented special infection control measures, including measures against strong winds from typhoons and building winds, and spraying the entire facility with an antiviral coating. (Event period: August 2-September 12, 2021) Regarding our efforts with fair wood: Cedar and larch Nishikawa lumber thinned in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, are used for counters and other fixtures. The design took advantage of the distinctive grain and color of the cedar heartwood, known as "black heart," and structural plywood. After the event, some of the wood used will be reused, and when its usefulness is complete, it will be returned to nature, where it will be recycled for seedlings, reforestation, and forestry. <Our project members> [Project Director] Suzuki Echiyo [Sales Promotion] Ishiyama Shigeyuki, Yamamoto Hitomi [design, layout] Matsubara Miwa, Kaizawa Ayuko, Sudo Ryo, Sakuma Tonoeki [Planning] CIC: Saito Yusuke [Operations Management] CIC: Ando Kaoru [Production] Marumori Yukio, Yamaguchi Yuta, Yoshida Takuto ~Related Links~ [Announcement] ・"Marunouchi Street Park Illumination Tour!" sponsored NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Opus Arisugawa

Opus Arisugawa

This project is the culmination project of "With an exclusive area of more than 100m2 in the heart of Tokyo, a brand that focuses on location and asset value and offers essential lifestyle through renovation."= "R 100 TOKYO" developed by Rivita. our company provided construction support for the renovation of Opas Arisugawa, a residence representing Tokyo with an exclusive area of approximately 198m2, which was created by OEO Studio, a Danish concept design company, in concept design. Based on the concepts of "CROSS-CULTURAL" and "COMPELLING MINIMALISM," this concept design living space incorporates new proposals based on the sensibilities common to Scandinavia and Japan. By using a lot of natural materials, such as solid wood, which develops its flavor the more you use it, the longer you live in it, the more blessings it will bring to your life. This new housing is a realization of the "value housing 100 years into the future" that "R 100 TOKYO" aims for. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] In the recent high-end residential market in central Tokyo, there is a growing demand for homes with unique values that are not limited to conventional values such as real estate prices and housing functions. Among the projects of Ribita, which aim to "We will continue to create the next common sense in order to restore the value of Japanese housing and real estate and leave it for the future," this project, which emphasizes natural materials and traditional construction methods, was an issue in terms of whether it can be established as a housing performance. [Solution] We had a number of meetings to promote the use of natural materials and handicrafts in the living space, taking into account housing performance, such as a wide variety of stone, plasterer, solid wood, han-zukuri, and ceramic tile. The solid wood kitchens of Garde Hvalsøe (read: Garde Vels), a Danish kitchen workshop that was the first in Japan to be installed in an ordinary house, have a great significance in the living space. Since there is no solid wood kitchen to replace them, our company's Global Division imported them from Denmark. [Customer's Voice] Thanks to your high level of technical and managerial skills, such as proposing solutions for difficult construction, precision of detail, and adherence to the construction schedule, we were able to not only go ahead with the overall schedule, but also create a wonderful space that understood the designer's intention. < our company Project Members > [Project Management] Masahiro Harada [Product Direction] Mikiya Fujitaka [Global Supply] Daiyuki Nakagome

HIRODEN etto

HIRODEN etto

HIRODEN etto, a tourist and commercial facility operated by the Hiroshima Dentetsu Group, opened in April of the same year on a site adjacent to the Miyajimaguchi Passenger Terminal, which began service in February 2020 as part of the Itsukushima Port Miyajimaguchi Area Port Improvement Project promoted by Hiroshima Prefecture. Under the concept of "DISCOVER MIYAJIMAGUCHI," it consists of 16 stores, mainly operated by companies that have Head Office in the prefecture. The facility is designed to provide both everyday (local) and extraordinary (sightseeing) pleasures with Hiroshima's unique flavor, and to offer a "fun, delicious, and new Hiroshima" experience to tourists as well as to the local community, thereby creating new attractions in Hiroshima. The new urban planning road was proposed as a measure to alleviate the chronic traffic congestion on National Route 2, which is the main route of daily life for local residents. In conjunction with this plan, it was decided to redevelop the aging passenger terminal by expanding the reclaimed land, and relocate the tourist product facility directly operated by the Hiroshima Electric Railway Group and the Hiroden Miyajima-guchi Station building/track. We were asked to create a scenario for medium- to long-term phased development and to make a proposal on the nature of the new facilities to be built by the Hiroshima Electric Railway Group on the land adjacent to the passenger terminal, which would be a suitable prologue and epilogue to the Miyajima Pilgrimage. We thought it was important to develop a development strategy from a regional branding perspective to give Miyajima-guchi, which is a transit point to Miyajima, "the power of the place". We also wanted to create a place and space that would add a new identity to Miyajimaguchi, which has no colors, through a naming and VI plan (*). The project took both a soft and hard approach to the creation of a place and space that would add color to the first phase of the Miyajima-guchi Town Opening. This approach has created new employment opportunities and contributed to the economic cycle in Miyajima-guchi by providing a new place for business, especially for local businesses in the prefecture. In addition, as a model case of regional development through private-sector involvement in a government-led redevelopment project, the project embodied the Hiroshima Electric Railway Group's management vision of "connecting people with people to create an attractive future for the region," and created a sense of anticipation for later development. (*)VI: Visual Identity. It refers to the design of a logo or symbol mark. We were able to create a facility that meets our concept thanks to the tremendous cooperation we received from both the software and hardware aspects, from the conceptualization stage to the specific facility planning. We look forward to its growth as a facility suitable for the prologue and epilogue of a pilgrimage to Miyajima. <Sales and project management] Ichiro Morimoto [Consulting, planning, and soft direction] Mayo Amma [Leasing] Takaaki Hiraki, Eri Morita [design, layout] Kazumi Doi, Yukari Ozaki [Production: construction] Katsunori Sugino [Preliminary internal supervision: furniture and fixture manufacturing] Toshimichi Suzuki [Branding] Yuri Watamoto [Opening Promotion/PR] Daisuke Karube, Hikaru Oura -Related Links- [Announcement] ・Awarded the Silver Prize and other awards at "The 54th Japan Sign concept design Awards

S-PAL Koriyama

S-PAL Koriyama

This project reopened the south side zone on the first floor of the main building of S-PAL Koriyama, adjacent to JR Koriyama Station. Numerous shops have been opened to increase the mobility of daily use, meet the diverse needs of customers, and coordinate lifestyles. The proposed environmental design concept is [RAMBLING STATION TOWN]. The theme is "an urban shopping center where people gather at the station and spend a comfortable time, just like enjoying a stroll around town," and the whole area is wrapped in a fashionable and gentle atmosphere. Specifically, the facility facade is equipped with a "rhythm line border" with indirect light, which is reminiscent of Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, a "music city" with a lot of musical activity. It is deployed to envelop the station concourse, creating a new patio for people walking around the city and S-PAL Koriyama. In addition, a folded ceiling made of wood and white rhythm lines with a "music score" concept design element is placed in conjunction with the Nakajima tenant environment. The rhythmic guidance draws people to the back of the facility. As an urban shopping center, S-PAL Koriyama aims to be a place that is supported by customers of all ages. [Social issues / Customer issues / Requests] - As the project was being promoted at the same time as the COVID-19 pandemic in the fall of 2020, the way in which commercial activities were conducted was questioned. - Due to the earthquake in the spring of 2021, a safe design was strongly required. - Upcycling of the environment was required to use the existing lease lines without changing the main flow of traffic. [Solution] Although the circulation lines are existing, the floor material has been renewed to a cobblestone style, and wooden materials that connect the entire facility have been incorporated in some areas to create a street where people can enjoy strolling around the city. In the atrium environment that serves as the axis of vertical circulation in the facility, a "rhythmic line gate" reminiscent of the "music city" has been added to the existing design, and the new center court has been renovated as a concept design symbol for the entire facility, providing visitors with a natural and symbolic park environment that combines "things x events x time". We have created a new stage for people walking around the city and S-PAL Koriyama. <Our project members> [Planners] Hiroko Okazaki, Yuri Watamoto [Sales and project management] Hiroyuki Uesugi [design, layout] Kenichi Suzuki, Makio Miura [Production and construction] Johei Saito

S-PAL Sendai II

S-PAL Sendai II

A proposal competition was held for the complete renewal of SEPPAL SENDAI II in June 2020, 13 years after its opening in 2008, and we were selected. The environmental design concept we proposed for the renewal is [MORI TERRACE], to refine Tohoku's highest level of sensitivity and to transform it into a new select store zone that offers proposals that are one step ahead of customers' lifestyles. Under the themes of "cozier than anywhere else" and "inspiration for everyday life," the entire space was composed based on organic lines and earth colors, enveloping the entire area in a mode and gentle atmosphere. Specifically, "big awnings and greenery" were deployed in the exterior plaza to create a new nexus between the facility and the people on the street. In addition, a light court on the ceiling, which is an element of "sunlight filtering through the trees" (concept design), is placed inside the facility in conjunction with the corridor environment, drawing people to the back of the facility through the sunlight. The light court is linked to the passageway environment, leading people to the back of the facility through the trees. The building aims to be a place where customers of all ages with next-generation values can feel "relaxation and a sense of fun" with a sophisticated sensitivity. The project started in August 2020, when the Corona Disaster was to be promoted, and it was a development project that was questioned as to how to attract customers to commercial facilities. While negotiations with tenants were difficult, 90% of the main traffic lines were to be used by existing lines, and an upcycling of the environment was required. In addition to attracting customers, the project was also required to create a "new nexus between people on the street and S-PAR Sendai," and to attract and spread people further into the facility. SOLUTION: We installed "the most comfortable big awning and greenery" and "LED vision that provides inspiration for daily life" in the external plaza as a nodal point for people on the street, and as an information transmission plaza for this facility located at the northernmost point of S-PAR Sendai, we are providing information about events and tenants to the people on the street. It is a plaza that transmits information about events and tenants to people on the street. The LED Vision is a plaza that transmits information about events and tenants to the people of the city, as a plaza that transmits information about the facility at the northernmost point of the facility. The goal was to create a place where people could "feel, touch, and communicate" from a passing facility. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Hiroyuki Uesugi [Planning] Chihiro Watakai, Mayu Nakamura [design, layout] Kenichi Suzuki [Structural design] Taizo Komatsu [Production, construction] Tatsuo Sato

Carerits and Partners Co., Ltd. Office

Carerits and Partners Co., Ltd. Office

Careritz & Partners Co., Ltd. is a company that is growing rapidly in the nursing care business, mainly in home care services, by utilizing IT technology. We concept design the entrance and meeting room, which will be the face of the company, when the Head Office expanded its head office from the 8th floor to the 15th floor of Shinjuku Miraina Tower. [Social Issues / Customer Issues / Requests] Since many job interviews are held, the company wanted a space where job seekers could relax during the interview and an entrance that would give a sense of the company's growth. [Solution] Since the corporate color is green, live plants were placed in a lattice, and the plants eventually grew and grew out of the frame, representing "growth without being bound by frames." In addition, by dividing the meeting room with a glass partition, a sense of spaciousness was created, and an open space that makes use of the borrowed scenery was realized. Since the color green has a visually relaxing effect, the floor of the meeting room is covered with wood and green carpet. In addition, in response to the increase in online meetings, we have prepared a telecon booth for 1 to 2 people and a meeting room that can seat from 4 to a maximum of 20 people so that it can be used according to the number of people in the meeting. Since many training sessions are held within the company, the entrance for visitors and employees taking training sessions was separated to allow for easy access. <Our project members> [Development] Okawa Nobutoshi [Sales/Project Management] Mukuo Ai [design, layout] Shimizu Shigemi, Koga Sayaka, Hagiwara Mitsutaka [Production construction] Shimizu Kota, Odajima Keita

Suiheisha 100th Anniversary Project Suiheisha Museum displays Renewal

Suiheisha 100th Anniversary Project Suiheisha Museum displays Renewal

This museum conveys the history of the Suiheisha, which became the linchpin of the Buraku Liberation Movement, which aims to establish peace and human rights. The latest renovation is a commemorative project for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Zenkoku Suiheisha, which marks a major milestone since March 3, 1922. In recent years, there has been an increasing tendency to emphasize human rights, such as the enactment of the Human Rights Protection Measures Promotion Act and the Ainu New Act, and the redefinition of museums by the SDGs and the International Council of Museums (ICOM). The Suiheisha Declaration, which was read out at the Zenkoku Suiheisha Founding Conference, was the first human rights declaration in Japan and the first human rights declaration in the world issued by a discriminated minority, stating, "Let there be passion in the human world, and light in humanity." When talking about human rights, the significance of the existence of the Suiheisha Museum, which was established in the birthplace of the Suiheisha and is a hub for disseminating human rights information, is very great. In the renovation, we have once again focused on the Suiheisha Declaration, which became the fundamental spirit of the movement. We have also collected famous quotes from famous people, people close to us, works of art, and works submitted by public entries, bringing inspiration and persuasiveness through the power of words. At the same time, the exhibition is also characterized by its high updateability, allowing comments from the general public to be added at any time. In addition, displays incorporates the idea of "accepting each other's differences" with an emphasis on diversity.
