Chinese Cuisine Guotai Hotel

The long-loved Chinese restaurant "Kokutai Hotel" is a tenant of the "Kyobashi Dai-ichi Seimei Building" in Chuo-ku, Tokyo. Due to the rebuilding of the building, it was relocated to the next building "Kyobashi Souseikan" across the intersection and reopened.
Facing the Kyobashi crossing and being in a good location right next to Kyobashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, it is highly recognizable, and is a Chinese restaurant that has remained popular with locals for both daily use and customer service.

Due to the relocation due to the rebuilding of the existing store, we received a request to follow the layout of the number of private rooms and the number of seats for the audience because of the usability of the kitchen and the demand for banquets as a store. .


【solution】
While referring to the layout of the existing store, we made a layout plan that matches the new store section and responded to requests while making improvements to usability.
In addition, in response to the relocation from a store that had only the entrance facing the road to a roadside store with glass facing the road on two sides, the Chinese lattice was effectively used so that it could be recognized as a Chinese restaurant at a glance. In addition to recognizing more customers, we have improved the visibility of the store and made it an easy-to-enter concept design.
In addition, regarding the privacy of the private rooms, the lattice doors are effectively used to solve the conflicting objectives of visibility and privacy from the outside.
