[Project Description] Ginza Sony Park is part of the "Ginza Sony Park Project," a project to renovate the Sony Building. It will be open as a flat, open public space until the fall of 2020, and then in 2022, a new Sony Building will be completed, expanding the park while maintaining its original concept. [Client's Challenges/Requests] Our role was from working drawings to construction, but we needed to proceed with design and fabrication simultaneously with the demolition work. While considering time savings and costs, the goal was to achieve maximum effect with minimal actions, based on the idea of " concept design the demolition" without adding unnecessary elements. Our theme was how to integrate into the project team and ensure proposals and quality that exceeded expectations in response to the project team's requests. [Solution] We participated in the project by thoroughly performing basic tasks, such as preparing the latest fabrication schedule and on-site process at the project's regular meetings to constantly share progress, and thoroughly checking the detailed working drawings, fabrication drawings, construction drawings, finish samples, and partial detail drawings, as well as maintaining close communication with the project team. [Customer Feedback] Despite the extremely tight schedule, thanks to the careful communication between our partner, the concept design team, the construction team, and our company, we were able to successfully open on August 9th. I believe the greatest benefit was that construction, which involved quite complex adjustments, was completed on time. Thank you very much. <Our Project Members> Sales: Kazunari Sato Production & construction: Kiyoshi Katayama, Yoshihiro Akiyama
