Shanghai World Financial Center "Food Garden"

Shanghai World Financial Center "Food Garden"

The food court at the Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC), a landmark skyscraper in Shanghai, China, will be transformed into a relaxing place surrounded by "light" and "greenery" that supports food, work and interaction among office workers. We were in charge of concept design and schematic design at NOMURA Co.,Ltd. and working drawings and construction at NOMURA (Beijing) Co., Ltd. as the food court of Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC), a landmark skyscraper in Shanghai, China, as a relaxing place surrounded by "light" and "greenery" that supports food, work and interaction among office workers. The "Food Garden" is a food court with 12 restaurants on the second basement floor of SWFC, a landmark in Shanghai, providing daily food support to more than 10,000 office workers, a place for office workers to relax, and an event space and meeting rooms for seminars and social gatherings. The space was required to add value to the building by providing daily food support for over 10,000 office workers, as well as a place for office workers to relax, and an event space and conference room for seminars and social gatherings. The louvers were designed to visualize the "light" coming in from the ground and to create a series of scenes of "greenery" creeping up toward the light. The event space and meeting rooms (catering available from the food court) were planned as an integrated unit to attract customers even after peak lunch hours. <Our project members> Design: NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Gree Head Office Office Renewal

Gree Head Office Office Renewal

This is a project to completely renovate 3 floors of Roppongi Head Office Mori Tower where GREE's Roppongi Hills is located. It took more than two years after the project was conceived, and construction was carried out in multiple phases. The concept of this project is "Disseminating Green's manufacturing". Head Office was established in the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower for about nine years, and we have come back to our roots and expressed our passion for manufacturing in the office space. We created the entrance, lounge, café, Future Labo's interiors and fixtures while valuing the feeling of materials to express the image of creating high quality products in the space that many workers spend, which supports the three pillars of GREE's game business, advertising and media business, and live entertainment business. Project members, including customers, actually worked on construction fixtures at the site, creating a space filled with the spirit of manufacturing. D Sign Co., Ltd. was in charge of overall project management and Puddle Co., Ltd. was in charge of concept design design. [Customer Comments] In the new space that NOMURA Co.,Ltd. has worked on, the number of events has increased approximately four times compared to before the renovation, and the number of visitors is on the rise, and our company office is returning to life. We have a space and fixtures that are carefully designed to detail, so we can welcome guests with confidence. < our company Project Members > [Sales/Project Management] Kaori Murakami, Shuichi Sakashita [Production/construction] Naoto Tominaga

Bosch Shibuya Head Office Office 10F "The NEST"

Bosch Shibuya Head Office Office 10F "The NEST"

A renovation project for Bosch Corporation's Shibuya Head Office. We were in charge of planning, design, layout, and construction to renovate one floor on the 10th floor into a communication space. From our experience of renovating the 4th floor of our Head Office building into a communication space "RE/SP", we thought it was important to create a mechanism for employees to interact. Based on the concept of "SCRAMBLE for MEET UP" (people gather, hatch new ideas, and then take off again), we designed it with the aim of creating a place where diverse employees can gather and interact on a daily basis. In order to express the mix through encounters and exchanges, just like in Shibuya, where Bosch's Head Office is located, we collaborated with various artists to create a space that allows people to interact with an open concept design. We also participated in the creation phase, such as logo concept design and event planning and management. [Customer's challenge/theme] We were asked to concept design a place where employees could interact from a different perspective than the office floor, with the aim of revitalizing communication within the company and creating innovation. [Solution] We proposed a spatial configuration that would allow each employee to regain their vitality and deepen their connections. Specifically, with the aim of creating opportunities for communication that transcends age and departmental boundaries, the area has been divided into six major functions, including a counter where people can have casual conversations over a cup of coffee, a place to sit and relax on sofas, and a space to move around and refresh. By proactively incorporating furniture and art that will spark communication, we also aimed to create a place where spontaneous ideas that are difficult to generate in office areas can be born. There is also a product displays that allows people to experience Bosch's DNA, making it a place that provides hints for creating innovation. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Ishii Kazushige, Murakami Kaori, Shishihori Tomoyo [design, layout] Yamanobe Manabu, Hagiwara Mitsutaka [Planning] Masubuch Kenta [Production and construction] Koike Tetsuji

WOODY PARTS Factory Office

WOODY PARTS Factory Office

[Project description] This project renovated the second floor office area of a precut factory in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, into a reception, library lounge, and showroom. We aimed to create a space that fulfills the role and function of an office while making the most of the unique atmosphere of the factory. The concept is to understand the growth of trees and support people and wood to walk together, with the theme of "forests where people walk together" and "wooden spaces where people can live richly." [Customer's issues/requests] ●To create a creative space where people can gather and interact, with "wood" as the keyword. ●To create a mechanism that allows people to feel closer to wood by deepening their knowledge and understanding of wood and actually touching it. ●In addition to seeing and touching wood, we also consider wood education and contact with craftsmen by holding workshops. ●The wooden parts of wooden houses, mainly the structure, tend to be hidden by floors, walls, and ceilings in daily life, so it is difficult to be interested in them. In such a situation, we created a mechanism that allows people to feel the wood material itself, the processing technology, the manufacturing staff, and the product quality that Woody Parts processes with all five senses. [Solution] The reception area was designed to allow employees and visitors to view a deep space. The tables, lighting, and bookshelves that make up the library lounge symbolize this. The showroom uses mesh material on the walls so that displays walls do not interfere with the atmosphere of the former factory. Taking advantage of the spaciousness of the space, we have prepared presentation spaces for BtoB and BtoC. In order to allow for clear presentations, we planned a space that at first glance looks like an art gallery, with visuals of handicrafts and techniques rather than an explanatory showroom. We also placed importance on ease of updating information so that it does not become outdated over time. In the future, we aimed to create a space where "creating experiences" related to "living" will be born in addition to the traditional "making things" using wood in relation to "living". [Customer feedback] ●There has been an increase in topics that are not about products (things), such as the scent and texture of wood. ●There has been an increase in visitors from management, designers, and planners, rather than the on-site staff of existing housing companies. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Takuya Kitai and Yoshiki Yamada [design, layout] Hiroaki Koshizen [Production and construction] Kentaro Hirano Photography: Nacasa & Partners Co., Ltd.

Plus D Nichinan Branch Office

Plus D Nichinan Branch Office

[Project Description] A samurai residence built over 140 years ago in Obi, a castle town with a long history in Kyushu and an important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings, has been converted into an office where visitors can experience the local culture. The overall concept is "Post-Heritage: Inheritance and Transformation for the Next Generation," and by clarifying the points that should be woven and the points that should be renewed, we are attempting a new way of connecting culture. We aimed to create a space that connects with the local community by interpreting the life of a former private home in a modern way. The concept design consists of two different spaces: a communication space with a large table made from the floorboards used in the former private home, and an open workspace with a counter facing the greenery through the opening. The gravel-covered earthen floor inserted between them is an intermediate area that connects both spaces and the outside and inside. The newly built "stepped deck" in the garden gently connects the inside and outside, and is used as a space for events where local people gather and to promote local products, making it a space that connects people, things, and events. [Customer feedback] By creating an attractive office space that allows you to experience the local culture, which is unique to this place, we have received positive feedback not only from local residents but also from many local governments and companies that are working on vacant houses, and this connection has led to new business development. <Our project members> [Development] Yamano Yasutoshi [Sales] Moenuki Toru [design, layout] Kawakami Yoichi, Takeda Shinpei, Shimizu Ryosuke
