Hotel Amanek Shinjuku Kabukicho

Hotel Amanek Shinjuku Kabukicho

1. Hotel Concept Based on the concept of "My Hotel that connects travel and the city," Hotel Amanek Shinjuku Kabukicho is the ninth hotel in the Amanek brand. Our company was responsible for the FF&E and concept design proposals and production for the guest rooms, as well as the common areas of the first-floor lobby and basement restaurant. In proposing concept design for this project, we considered the following three points to be important: 1. Hotel Concept Based on the hotel's keywords of "a place to belong," "relaxation," and "healing," we created a comfortable atmosphere in the physical aspects by realizing a compact yet luxurious bathroom space under the concept of "Cozy Comfort Hotel," while creating a beautiful space that evokes the urban atmosphere unique to the Shinjuku Kabukicho location by focusing on a sense of openness in the common areas and zoning. In terms of concept design, we incorporated various elements such as the blessings of nature, the cityscape, familiar scenery, traditional crafts, the atmosphere of local industries, and the lifestyle unique to the Shinjuku area, based on the concept of "Design with Local Essence." Through these efforts, we have created a space that evokes the unique character of Shinjuku Kabukicho, the heart of the entertainment district, while also providing a sense of relaxation and healing. 2. Building Exterior By incorporating tall, vertically oriented slit-like windows and ribbed exterior walls, we have created an exterior design that is mindful of the height befitting the Shinjuku area, which is lined with skyscrapers, aiming for a sense of unity between the exterior and interior, and expressing a modern design through the vertical lines of the building's exterior. 3. Hotel Situation in the Shinjuku Area As the area is lined with business hotel chains, there are also many unique hotels of all sizes, so we aim to create a relaxing space that is unique to Amanek while differentiating ourselves from others. Based on these three points, in order to explore the charm of this area, we have delved into the history of Shinjuku and aimed to allow all guests, whether domestic tourists or business travelers, to fully enjoy the city and travel of Shinjuku, and above all, the comfortable space that is unique to Hotel Amanek. Furthermore, as "Shinjuku Wa Relax," the hotel aims to create a space that evokes the dazzling atmosphere of Shinjuku while simultaneously providing a relaxing environment to soothe the fatigue of travel. The lobby, which guests will inevitably visit not only during check-in and check-out but also when going out during their stay or returning to the hotel, is designed to be a convenient space tailored to the user's needs, whether it's for meeting up with someone or discussing where to go.

The hotel's name, TIAD, is an acronym for the concept "Tomorrow Is Another Day" (a hotel where guests' tomorrow will change). TIAD is a luxury hotel where guests can experience the new value of living in harmony with the greenery and nature of Hisaya-odori Park, even though it is located in the heart of the city. TIAD is the proprietary brand of Nippon Ceremony Co., Ltd. which is located in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture Head Office and mainly engaged in weddings and funerals, and is the fourth "Autograph Collection" hotel in Japan through a partnership with Marriott International. The Royal Park Canvas Sapporo Odori Park

To provide guests with the hotel's concept of "experiencing Hokkaido," we planned the ultimate locally sourced hotel with sustainability in mind, while cherishing the culture and way of thinking that has been valued in this region. In the exterior, interiors, and structure, we not only used Hokkaido-produced wood, stone, and soil as building materials, but also aimed to use materials to the fullest extent by making furniture from leftover building materials. Furthermore, some of the furniture in the hotel lounge was made in Asahikawa, a town famous for its furniture, using Hokkaido-produced wood, and the regularly held market events are held in cooperation with local producers, creating connections between the hotel and the community in various ways, both in terms of soft and hard aspects. In the restaurant, we not only use Hokkaido-produced ingredients (agricultural products, seafood, dairy products, etc.), but also ingredients from producers whose faces we can see, and in the guest rooms, we have installed wooden speakers and record players in honor of Sapporo, the city of jazz, and have set up art with beautiful photographs of various parts of Hokkaido by five photographers, we have incorporated elements that allow guests to deeply experience Hokkaido through all five senses. Whether your destination is Sapporo or you're using it as a starting point, this hotel offers a unique and unforgettable experience in Sapporo, the gateway to Hokkaido.

TheMana Village

TheMana Village

This project, undertaken by ARTH Group Co., Ltd. (Tosashimizu Resort LLC), which handles accommodation businesses and regional revitalization nationwide, aims to revitalize the entire city of Tosashimizu by transforming the long-established Ashizuri Pacific Hotel Hanatsubaki, a renowned inn at Cape Ashizuri in Kochi Prefecture, into "The Mana Village," one of Asia's leading resort facilities. The facility is located in the naturally rich area of Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park. Although it boasts a spectacular view, the hotel's interiors remained old, as if time had stopped in the Showa era. Initially, the plan was to install a small cafe area, but through repeated discussions, ARTH's vision expanded to include not only the hotel but also the entire Kochi prefecture and Tosashimizu city. It was reborn as a complex facility including an Italian restaurant, offering a luxurious space where guests can experience the nature of Ashizuri. Our company participated from the planning and concept design stage to enhance the facility's appeal, and was in charge of producing the facade, lobby common areas, guest rooms, and restaurant spaces, which are the face of the hotel. (design supervision for guest rooms and Italian restaurant) Starting with "LOQUAT Nishi-Izu" (renovation of an old house into an auberge) which we handled in 2021, we have been working as ARTH's creative partner, producing spaces that contribute to the creation and revitalization of attractive towns.

LOQUAT Villa SUGURO

LOQUAT Villa SUGURO

This project involves renovating an old farmhouse in the Kodohi district of Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, into a rental accommodation facility. This district was once a quiet area where a local magistrate resided, and the plan is to provide a stay that incorporates the surrounding environment, allowing guests to experience a slower pace of life that transcends time. The main house will be equipped with a kitchen and will offer services such as dinner by a visiting chef and alcohol service from a mobile bar. For interiors, local materials will be used, such as earthen walls made from local soil and a dining table made from locally sourced cherry wood, attempting to create a space using local materials, just as in the Edo period. [Social Issues/Client Issues/Requests] In order to make the most of the old farmhouse as a rental facility, the client requested an attractive spatial concept design that takes into account the characteristics of the site. [Solutions] While utilizing the charm of the existing building, the design incorporates a spatial configuration that maximizes the surrounding views and finishes that utilize local soil and other materials. <Our Project Members> [Sales & Project Management] Shinya Hiratsuka, Nobuyuki Yagi [Overall Supervision] Norio Koito [Planning] Saki Ninomiya [design, layout] Hirofumi Inoue ~Related Links~ [Press Releases] ・ NOMURA Co.,Ltd.
