Oh Sadaharu Baseball Museum Supported by Lipovitan D
movie
overview
Located on the fourth floor of the "BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA" complex, next to the Fukuoka PayPay Dome, the home stadium of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, this newly renovated facility is a sports museum that conveys the charm of "baseball player Sadaharu Oh" while also focusing on "enjoyment."
The "Sadaharu Oh History Zone (displays)" uses the latest displays techniques to showcase the greatness and eventful journey of baseball player Sadaharu Oh, while "89 Park (Interactive Attraction)" condenses Sadaharu Oh's passion for baseball—his desire for people to enjoy the sport—into an interactive attraction where visitors can enjoy various challenges such as hitting, throwing, and catching.
Issues/requests
Inheriting the previous concept of ``a future-oriented sports museum that emphasizes communication and enjoyment, centered on the charm of the baseball player Sadaharu Oh'', we were asked to create a space and enrich content that feels advanced and appropriate for the renewal. I was.
solution
While inheriting the facility's concept, we aimed to create a museum that is more beloved and familiar to many people, starting with the great legacy of baseball player Sadaharu Oh and the allure of baseball, conveying the appeal and enjoyment of sports through a multifaceted and innovative approach, and providing entertainment that energizes many people. We were also in charge of digital measures that allow visitors to enjoy the facility even more, such as audio guides, AR content, photo frames, and 360-degree videos that can only be seen here, all through a dedicated smartphone app.
Our company provides comprehensive spatial design services, from planning and production to construction, digital communication, and maintenance management, creating a museum experience that is adapted to the new normal by integrating real-world experiences with digital elements.
Customer's voice
The company has a strong team, including backup members, and I felt their strength. Although the project did not end up with the original idea we had at the start, I think that kind of creativity is important, so they made use of the idea while also taking into account the practical aspects. In the end, we were able to achieve our goal within budget while still retaining the creativity.
