Oh Sadaharu Baseball Museum Supported by Lipovitan D
This facility, which was renovated and reopened on the 4th floor of the entertainment complex "BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA" next to Fukuoka PayPay Dome, the home stadium of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, is a sports museum that conveys the appeal of "baseball player Oh Sadaharu" and places an emphasis on "fun."
The "Oh Sadaharu History Zone (displays)" uses the latest displays techniques to express the greatness of baseball player Oh Sadaharu and his turbulent journey, while "89 Park (Interactive Attraction)" condenses Oh Sadaharu's passion for baseball, "for people to enjoy baseball," into an interactive attraction where visitors can enjoy various challenges such as hitting, pitching, and catching.
Inheriting the previous concept of ``a future-oriented sports museum that emphasizes communication and enjoyment, centered on the charm of the baseball player Sadaharu Oh'', we were asked to create a space and enrich content that feels advanced and appropriate for the renewal. I was.
While inheriting the facility's concept, we aimed to convey the great achievements of baseball player Oh Sadaharu and the appeal of baseball through a multifaceted and advanced approach, to provide an opportunity to become familiar with sports and its fun, to provide enjoyment that energizes many people, and to become a museum that is loved and familiar to many. We were also in charge of digital measures to make the facility even more enjoyable, such as audio guides on a dedicated smartphone app, AR content, photo frames, and 360-degree videos that can only be seen here.
We provided comprehensive space production, from planning to production, construction, digital communication, and maintenance management, and by fusing real-world experiences with digital, we were able to create a museum experience that is adapted to the new normal.
The company has a strong team, including backup members, and I felt their strength. Although the project did not end up with the original idea we had at the start, I think that kind of creativity is important, so they made use of the idea while also taking into account the practical aspects. In the end, we were able to achieve our goal within budget while still retaining the creativity.
