overview

Marunouchi Street Park, which began in 2019, is a social experiment project to examine the future shape and utilization of Marunouchi Nakadori Street.
In winter, the spatial concept was "Amazing Winter Street," and in three blocks spanning approximately 300 meters, we created scenes where visitors could feel the warmth with all their senses while enjoying the illuminations.

Block 1 is themed around "Wonder Dining!" and is planned to be an area full of fun, including a glass house where you can dine while enjoying the illuminations, tree hammocks, big chess and more.
Block 2 has the theme of "Wonder Lounge!" and is centered around a two-story hut that serves as both a general information center and shop. It also features a postbox with a fiery flame for dropping off purchased Christmas cards, a billiards table for fun beneath the illuminations, and a fire pit where visitors can relax and enjoy playing street piano.
Block 3 has the theme of "Wonder Terrace!" and features a "Corridor of Light" covered with mirrors and an "Artists in Fire Terrace" where artists can create art around a fake fire in the fireplace.

"Illumination Tour for the Visually Impaired 2021 Winter" hosted by our company
This tour is based on the theme of "dialogue" and is a walking tour designed to allow "everyone" to truly experience a "comfortable space."
Volunteer staff will escort visually impaired people through three blocks (total length approximately 300m) of the beautifully illuminated winter street, and we aimed to create a program that would allow them to enjoy themselves through conversations that would warm their bodies and hearts.

During the "Marunouchi Street Park 2021 Summer" event (August-September), visually impaired people were seen using the park, so we conducted interviews with people who are visually impaired from birth. The results we received included, "The places I want to go are places I've been to once and liked," "When going to a new place, I'm nervous about taking the first step," "I didn't know Marunouchi was a park," and "Since I can't see, I use my imagination to enjoy things."
Therefore, if we can convey the charms of Marunouchi in a friendly and careful manner by "using a method of announcements that can be properly conveyed to the visually impaired" and "guiding with reliable support", we think that they will want to "go back" and will come to like Marunouchi Nakadori even more. We also thought that this tour could be an opportunity for "everyone" to "feel, connect, and spend time with the seasons". This led us to organize this tour.
