Announcement of an Employee Infected with COVID-19

On Monday, July 6, an employee of NOMURA was tested positive with COVID-19. The employee is currently under quarantined along with medical treatment.

To ensure the safety of our clients, business partners, and employees as our top priority, we are currently carrying out the following measures in cooperation with the public health center.

Response measures

  • We are tracing the activities of the employee in question and identifying people who had in close contact.
  • Employees who may have had close contact with the employee have been instructed to isolate at home and monitor their health for symptoms.
  • Our head office building (2-3-4 Daiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo) will be closed until Sunday, July 12, for thorough cleaning and disinfecting and to prevent the spread of infection.
  • All employees who work at the head office building have been instructed to work from home.

We will continue to place the highest priority on the health and safety of employees and will promptly decide and carry out measures accordingly based on government guidance and protocols.
