This is the third phase of the renovation of the tour facility at Nikka Whiskey's Yoichi Distillery, which will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2024.
In addition to renovating the displays explanations at the Taketsuru Residence Entrance Hall due to aging, in order to make it easier for visitors to tour the venue, we were in charge of installing new guidance signs in the visitor parking lot, renovating existing facility guidance signs, and installing a new photo spot monument. Did.
Due to the age of displays at the entrance of the Taketsuru House, displays explanations were not readable and displays were not appealing to customers, so we changed the structure of displays to give a more realistic sense of the lifestyle of the Taketsuru House. The challenge was to create displays content that would further resonate with customers from a different perspective than that of a museum. In addition, there were many cases where customers arriving from the parking lot were confused about where to go, making it difficult to guide them smoothly to the museum, restaurants, and shops.
The main theme of displays at Taketsuru House was to provide a sense of the Taketsuru family's loving and meticulous private life, as well as to increase empathy for the Nikka brand. In the new displays, we aimed to create displays that would deepen empathy and interest in the Nikka brand by introducing the Taketsuru family's meticulous lifestyle and love. In addition, by introducing footage from that time, we are trying to give a more realistic feel of life at the Taketsuru residence. In addition, while new guidance signs in the parking lot were designed to be easily noticed by customers, the existing guidance signs were in line with the management policy as most of the tour areas are restricted to reservations. The contents have been revised.
