Kinoshita Group ITTF PTT JAPAN PARA OPEN 2023 NOMURA is in charge of planning, concept design and producing the art displays and experience booths at the venue content cooperation "Kinoshita Group ITTF PTT JAPAN PARA OPEN 2023" international para table tennis tournament to make it even more enjoyable

NOMURA Co., Ltd. has assisted in planning and designing the competition venue for the Kinoshita Group ITTF PTT JAPAN PARA OPEN 2023 (hereinafter referred to as JAPAN PARA OPEN), an international para table tennis tournament that will be held from August 30th, to ensure that the event can be enjoyed by a wider range of people, not just those with an interest in concept design.

The JAPAN PARA OPEN is a world tournament that brings together top para table tennis players from around the world, and is an important tournament that leads to participation in the Paris Paralympics. While watching serious matches, the venue was designed to be a place where people can "watch, play, learn, and enjoy themselves all day long," and there was an area where people could play real sugoroku while experiencing art displays by para-athletes and wheelchairs.

The art displays is based on the "PARA HEROes Exhibition" held in 2021, displays up-and-coming creators using a variety of methods to express the appeal of the sport and its players, using para table tennis as a theme.
Parasports Sugoroku is a game born from the Shibuya Radio (87.6FM) program "Shibuya's Athletics Club," and this time it will be held in the stadium concourse. You can experience the life of a paraathlete while sitting in a wheelchair. The game also includes the athletic life of powerlifter Tetsuo Nishizaki, who is affiliated with our company.
In addition, there will be a trial event for the popular portable chair, developed by IKOU, an inclusive brand for infants and young children, to "allow a wider range of people to enjoy watching games at the stadium."

This project was realized as part of NOMURA 's accelerated social good activities in support of the Para Table Tennis Association's efforts to promote diversity and inclusion. We aim to explore the possibilities of sports spectator facilities such as stadiums and arenas together with various stakeholders in order to provide Delight and Passion to more people.

displays planning and venue concept design are handled by our company's designers Ryo Onishi and Akane Yamaguchi, who also worked on the "PARA HEROes Exhibition."
