Through spatial design, we aim to share the Delight and Passion of sports with the world.
NOMURA Co.,Ltd., together with related organizations, athletes, and local communities, has been addressing social issues through spatial design that originates from the sports industry.
In the sports industry, our spatial design work includes creating experiential events and hospitality spaces, arena productions that leverage our experience in international sporting events, and providing solutions that blend the real and virtual worlds.
Furthermore, in order to proactively contribute to the betterment of the sports industry, we support parasports and athletes, and participate in and support related organizations, leveraging our company's experience.

Para sports, athlete support

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Group wholeheartedly supports parasports, including para powerlifting, and its affiliated para powerlifter, Tetsuo Nishizaki (men's 49kg class, competed in the 54kg class at the Rio 2016 Paralympics). Through parasports, we aim to contribute to creating a space where everyone, regardless of age, gender, nationality, or disability, can live with peace of mind as a member of society.

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Ltd. supports active athletes who continue to participate in sports while working as employees, helping them to prepare for their future athletic activities.
Powerlifter Tetsuo Nishizaki joined NOMURA Co.,Ltd. through the Japan Olympic Committee's "Athnavi" program, which supports employment for top athletes, and competed in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. His continuous efforts to improve have inspired and moved many people. Currently, the circle of support for him is expanding both inside and outside the company, fostering a new sense of unity.

Tetsuo Nishizaki

Powerlifting 49kg class
Japan record 139kg (2022)
A member of the Japanese national team at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Paralympic Games. He has won 10 consecutive championships at the All Japan Powerlifting Championships (since participating in 2013, as of 2023). As an active athlete, he has deepened his ties with local communities by giving lectures all over the country on the themes of the appeal of parasports and understanding of symbiotic societies. In addition, through advice on space, we are working to realize a space where everyone can spend comfortably.
Biography
Born April 26, 1977 in Nara Prefecture. He excelled in wrestling during his high school years.
At age 23, suffered a spinal cord injury in a traffic accident (complete loss of function in both lower limbs). Began participating in track and field.
After retiring, he made a comeback, switching his sport from track and field to powerlifting, following the decision to hold the Tokyo 2020 Games.
In November 2014, she joined NOMURA Co.,Ltd. through the Japan Olympic Committee's "Athnavi" program, which supports employment for top athletes.

As a "tomorrow's challenge! messenger" certified by the Nippon Foundation Paralympic Support Center, we visit elementary and junior high schools, universities, and other educational institutions nationwide to give hands-on lectures and give lectures on the theme of "barrier-free minds."

Participating in and supporting sports-related organizations
Currently, we are participating in and supporting the following organizations.

Sports Ecosystem Promotion Council
NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Group is participating as a board member company in the "Sports Ecosystem Promotion Council" (established in January 2022), which aims to promote the sports industry in the DX era and establish a sports ecosystem. Together with the council members, we aim to create a new ecosystem starting from the sports industry that will address social issues.

B.LEAGUE
As a "B.LEAGUE Supporting Company," NOMURA Co.,Ltd., Ltd. is working in collaboration with the Japan Professional Basketball League to further develop its spatial concept design capabilities, which play a crucial role in arena sports.
Our aim is to contribute to the popularization and improvement of men's basketball in Japan, and to support players who are active in clubs nationwide, so that fans can enjoy the sport.
NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Ltd. has been selected as a B.LEAGUE supporting company.
NOMURA Co.,Ltd. planned, design, layout interior execution the Nippon Life B.LEAGUE FINALS 2020-21 "Message Monument".
NOMURA Co.,Ltd. handled the planning, design, layout, interior execution the "Monument" for the Nippon Life B.LEAGUE FINALS 2021-22.
