PARA HEROes Exhibition

The "PARA HEROes Exhibition" is an exhibition planned to spread the message of diversity and inclusion to Japan and the world by having four young artists and creators express the appeal of the sport and its athletes using "para table tennis" as their theme.

As part of NOMURA Co.,Ltd. 's efforts to support sports promotion, and as part of the "COLORS - A commemorative event marking one year until the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Thanks to our previous connection, we were able to sponsor this project by providing planning and concept design.
What did the artists feel when they encountered "para table tennis," what did they think about when they tried to incorporate it into their work, and what did they want to convey through the works they created? What emerged from this was a way of expressing what they saw through their own sensibilities, without fixed ideas or preconceptions.

We concept design the space with the concept of "Uncoated," hoping that visitors would also be able to break free from preconceived notions through the artists' expressions, deepen their empathy for parasports, and engage with the artworks with an open mind. The elements that make up the space utilize their natural textures, and we have also incorporated materials with textures related to each piece of art.
We paid close attention to the presentation to ensure that the unique appeal of each piece of art was best brought out.

In line with NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Group's guideline of "providing added value from an environmental perspective," this displays was concept design so that approximately 90% of the exhibits can be reused as is.
