[Project Summary] Weathernews opened the in-house nursery "WNI RAIN KIDS HOUSE" with the aim of creating an environment where employees can balance childcare and their work. This in-house nursery was opened on the premises of Makuhari Techno Garden, where the company is located, with the aim of creating an environment where employees can work with peace of mind, and also has an after-school school that accepts children up to the sixth grade of elementary school. The "RAIN" in the name of the nursery also represents the company's wish that children will develop respectful, adventurous, and independent qualities. The company requested a unique space design that could express the concept, and an efficient functional development that can accommodate childcare of children of different ages, such as a nursery school and after-school room. The project members at our company are working fathers and mothers. We made use of our childcare experience to plan and design the names of each class and the educational programs. We pursued Weathernews' unique style in every detail, from the space expressing "RAIN" to the logo graphics and shapes, and worked with Team M to design and construction with consideration for safety and the environment. [Customer feedback] In order to create a facility unique to Weathernews, we discussed various themes and concepts within the company, but NOMURA was able to successfully shape it, including the process. For example, concept design and concept of the logo mark captured the hearts of the staff, and we were impressed with the idea of drawing a weather chart from the company's founding on the floor, so we adopted it. NOMURA made a wide range of proposals, and we were able to open a wonderful in-house nursery school that is unique to Weathernews.
