This project involved rebranding a 40-year-old hotel located near Kirishima Shrine at the foot of the Kirishima Mountains in Kagoshima Prefecture as "The Pulse Kirishima."
The old hotel was purchased by a real estate investment fund and underwent a complete renovation.
We designed the interior and concept design of the entire building, and collaborated with a local general contractor for construction, enabling the facility to open in just one year from the start of design.
Issues/requests
By connecting with, resonating with, and fusing with the land of Kirishima, we aimed to create a place that would regenerate the mind and body of our guests.
solution
Inspired by the majestic nature, the space was concept design around the theme of "the heartbeat of the earth." The hotel incorporates colors, shapes, and materials that intuitively convey the vitality of the earth, creating a uniquely comfortable atmosphere.
