THE BASE SPORTS BIKE & COMMUNITY

"THE BASE SPORTS BIKE & COMMUNITY" is a project to create a new concept shop specializing in road bikes for cyclists in response to the increased demand for bicycles during the COVID-19 pandemic and the growing interest in road bikes due to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

An exterior cycling road leads into the store, allowing customers to enter while still on their bikes. In addition, a rest area with artificial turf and an experience area are provided in the center of the store, where customers wearing binding shoes can relax in safety and enjoy communication with other customers through their shared hobby of cycling, including test rides and other experience events, maintenance, and upgrading their bikes by purchasing their favorite accessories.
Additionally, the fixtures have pallet bases, allowing for flexible layouts, and the louvers surrounding the walls of the sales floor allow bicycles to be displays face-out.
A place where you can stop along the way to take a break or perform maintenance, viewing life as a single cycling road.
We are proposing this type of space as concept design for our new store.
