Morioka City Museum of History and Culture
overview
This facility opened in 2011 and is currently operated jointly by NOMURA Co.,Ltd. and the Morioka City Tourism and Convention Association as the representative of the designated managers.
It has two aspects: it is a cultural property exhibition facility that houses the precious treasures of the Nanbu family, and at the same time, it is located within Morioka Castle Ruins Park and serves as a base for "town sightseeing" where a variety of people, including local residents, tourists, and students on school trips, gather to experience the history and traditional culture of the castle town.
As the designated manager, NOMURA Co.,Ltd. has been involved in the preparations for the opening, and is currently working to provide stable services for local residents and tourists who have been looking forward to the opening, while cherishing the dignity of a facility that displays Morioka's treasures in the area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
