Morioka City Museum of History and Culture
This facility opened in 2011, and is currently operated jointly by NOMURA and the Morioka Tourism and Convention Association as the representative of the "designated manager."
It has two aspects: it is a cultural property public exhibition facility housing the precious treasures of the Nanbu family, and at the same time, it is located within Morioka Castle Ruins Park and serves as a base for "downtown tourism" where a variety of people, including local residents, tourists, and school trip students, gather to experience the history and traditional culture of the castle town.
As the designated manager, NOMURA has been involved in the preparations for the museum's opening, and is currently working to provide a stable service for local residents and tourists who have been looking forward to the museum's opening, while cherishing the dignity of a facility that displays the treasures of Morioka in the area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
