overview

Aomori Prefecture has a valuable history in the history of aviation in Japan. Aomori Prefecture and Misawa City came together to establish the Aeronautical Science Museum, which opened in 2003.
In 2021, NOMURA was in charge of the overall renovation work, including completely revamping displays, installing a new space zone, and introducing new roller zippers.
The managing organizations of the museum mainly consist of local companies and NPOs, and NOMURA, as the designated manager, is responsible for maintaining displays, operating the information network and video hall, as well as planning special exhibitions and other events.

In addition to the Aviation Zone, which displays aircraft related to Aomori Prefecture, the Science Zone, which focuses on a science experiment workshop conducted by instructors, and the Space Zone, which was newly added in the renovation, the museum also displays the HondaJet Technology Demonstration Aircraft, which is the only one of its kind in Japan.
