Miru On Cafe

This was a project for a cafe to be installed on the first floor of Menicon's new head office building. As we aimed to create a highly original cafe, our company was in charge of planning the cafe, developing the business format, construction and constructing the store, and building the management system.
In addition to a menu of eye-catching deli gelato and aromatic coffee, the cafe area also features mini concerts held around a piano set up in the center, and monitors showing movies that express the facility's concept, making it a place that can be enjoyed with all five senses.

As a space that would contribute to Menicon's corporate branding, it needed to be a place where fun and joy could be experienced through all five senses, not just sight, and it needed to incorporate ideas related to SDGs and protecting the natural environment, and they asked us to create an operating structure that would make these a reality.

A stage with a piano and a large monitor was placed in the center of the cafe area, and each chair in the store is made of a different material and concept design, making it a facility where customers can enjoy not only the taste and smell of food and drinks, but also hearing, sight, and touch. The piano and monitors can also be used for events, making it a place for communication with local residents. In addition, the cafe's menu uses local ingredients, realizing the provision of food in collaboration with the local community. We introduced several companies, including food and beverage operators with stores in the neighborhood, and even supported the selection of a business partner.

By positioning "gelato," one of Miru On Cafe's strategic menu items, and "piano," one of the cafe's concepts, at the same line of sight from the entrance, the design was able to convey the cafe's message just by looking at it.
