Marunouchi Street Park 2023 Summer

"Marunouchi Street Park" has been running in Tokyo's Marunouchi Nakadori since 2019 as a demonstration experiment of future area management that transforms "road space" into a comfortable "urban park space." Based on the concept of "Popping Summer Street - Marunouchi Nakadori where visitors can feel the summer and get excited," verification items included collaboration with initiatives that are in line with the times and trends, such as rugby and SDGs, setting up tables equipped with wind and solar power generation capabilities, and creating a venue for musical performances that involves local workers and visitors.

・We undertook new collaboration and technology projects, such as concept design up swings designed with the uniforms of Japan's national rugby team players, outdoor solar and wind power generation stations (with wireless charging), and selecting official musicians through a public audition to perform around the street piano.
As a consideration for the global environment, we used sweepers to collect the artificial turf and measured the amount of turf wear during the event, and took steps to understand the actual situation regarding plastic leakage from the artificial turf.
・We actively considered the use of staffing and security cameras to ensure safe operation in preparation for the permanent establishment, and worked to verify the best way to manage safety with an eye toward future use as an urban park space.
