Since 2019, the Daimaru Yu Area Management Association (Ligare) has been working on a future area management demonstration experiment that transforms the "road space" into a comfortable "urban park space" on Marunouchi Nakadori, Tokyo. “Marunouchi Street Park” (abbreviation: MSP).

​“Marunouchi Street Park 2021 Winter”, the first winter event, will be held from December 2nd to 25th, 2021. Three spaces where you can feel the warmth with all five senses will appear under the theme of “Winter Streets”.

In a space where you can enjoy the illumination, which is a winter tradition of Marunouchi Naka-dori, and how you can stay warm and spend time outside, we created a space unique to winter that takes into account the cold, and created an information center. We are planning to install a temporary building with a function. NOMURA, Ltd. was in charge of planning, design, construction, concept design, and operation. We are demonstrating the comprehensive strength of NOMURA, Ltd., which has a track record of creating various spaces, both indoors and outdoors.

In addition, when the “Marunouchi Street Park 2021 Summer” (August-September) was operated, it was found that visually impaired people used it, so we conducted interviews with people who were born visually impaired. “The places I want to go to are places that I have visited once and found them good,” “I am worried about taking the first step when I go to a place for the first time,” “I didn’t know Marunouchi was a park,” and “My eyes As a result, I can enjoy things with my imagination because I can't see.” We thought that if we could NOMURA and carefully convey the appeal of Marunouchi Naka-dori, people would want to visit it again, and in the end they would like Marunouchi Naka-dori. I will. Through this program (demonstration experiment), we believe that by creating an opportunity for everyone to "feel, connect, and spend the season", we will get closer to the purpose of MSP, which is "people-centered roads."
