overview

[Project Summary]
Saito Confectionery's main store was damaged in the Great East Japan Earthquake.
After that, in the downtown area of Ofunato, which was the hub of reconstruction, the Sanriku Kasho Saito Main Store was opened as a flagship store with a confectionery workshop, Kamome Terrace, with an even more powerful presence. With the aim of realizing President Saito's idea that "we want to propose a new style of veranda that values the relaxing feeling of being on a veranda as a place to entertain visitors with sweets," our company was in charge of everything from the basic concept to construction.
We assisted in the creation of the flagship store from start to finish, from architectural concept design to interiors, signage, video, as well as the creation of the logo and VI concept design for shoppers and business cards.

[Customer issues]
?@ We want to make it a base for regional exchange and sightseeing, not just a store. I want to make a mechanism for that.
?A We want to appeal to a wide range of products with branding that does not rely only on the main product "Kamome no Tamago". The four brands operated by Saito Confectionery (Bread Kobo COCOA, Western confectionery Le Pommier, Japanese confectionery Sanriku Kasho Saito, and Nostalgic Aji Saito Mochiya) should be zoned in an easy-to-understand and unified manner.
?I would like to set up a workshop for sweets (Hikari no Asa) that will be released at the same time as the B opening. We would like to pay attention to the specifications and finish that ensure hygiene, and consider how to present the manufacturing process, security, and safety.

【solution】
Centering on the kids' space, which is a large symbolic creation that imagines the ``Seagull's Egg'' that looks great on SNS, we have set up a cafe space that imagines a verandah where customers gather.
In addition, we set up a multi-purpose kitchen space where you can make your own seagull egg [DECO seagull egg] in the part that can be seen from the store, which is a highlight of attracting customers.
All the spaces are partitioned by glass so that you can see how the products are being made next to the store.
