ESCONFIELD HOKKAIDO HOTEL KITAHIROSHIMA EKIMAE

This hotel is directly connected to Kitahiroshima Station on the JR Chitose Line, the nearest station to "Hokkaido Ballpark F Village." The first to third floors are commercial facilities, and the fourth to thirteenth floors house the hotel with a total of 158 guest rooms. Our company was mainly responsible for concept design and construction of the hotel lobby and the 11th-floor guest room area, which is themed around the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters baseball team.

The lobby space is filled with baseball-themed touches, including ceiling designs that evoke the Fighters' home stadium, "Escon Field Hokkaido," and the use of Fighters' colors, creating an exciting atmosphere. The Fighters Floor features a corridor that serves as a gallery space displays signed uniforms and photographs of players, while the guest rooms are decorated in a chic, black-based color scheme reminiscent of Escon Field, and guests can enjoy views of the stadium from their windows.

Nippon Escon, in collaboration with Kitahiroshima City and R.I.A., is working on the "Memory Preservation Furniture Production Project," which involves reusing trees felled during the construction of a hotel in the park in front of Kitahiroshima Station to create furniture for use within the hotel. As part of this project, students from Hokkaido Shirakaba High School for Special Needs Education in Kitahiroshima City were commissioned to produce the furniture, and our company was asked to design supervision.

We created an image of the furniture, and the students selected the wood species and created the furniture from cutting to finishing as part of their classes. We communicated closely with the students during the process, and shared the difficulties of making better furniture and the joy of completing the piece. The furniture we made is set up in the hotel's community lounge, which is open to the public.
