Trial to create an inclusive stadium where everyone can spend time | Launch of "Sensory Friendly Bags"

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. is conducting R&D activities to realize its sustainability policy of "creating spaces that are easy for everyone to use." Currently, for people who have difficulty going out for various reasons or who have given up on outing experiences, we are working in partnership with researchers, people with disabilities, and experts to create spaces where everyone can feel safe and comfortable, through research, the installation of "sensory rooms" in stadiums, and the development of experience devices and concept design items.

Eastern League 2024 in TOKYO DOME (9/22) "Sensory Friendly Ticket" Sales

We are now working with Tokyo Dome to conduct a trial aimed at "creating an inclusive stadium where everyone can enjoy themselves." For the first time, "Sensor-Friendly Tickets" will be sold* at the professional baseball Eastern League official game on Sunday, September 22nd, with the cooperation of organizers The Yomiuri Shimbun, Nippon Television, and Tokyo Dome.

This ticket is designed to help everyone enjoy a safe and enjoyable experience, and includes: 1) the opportunity to watch the game in a uncrowded area (third floor balcony seats); 2) a free "Sensorially Friendly Bag," an original bag designed and produced by NOMURA Co.,Ltd., filled with items to promote a sense of well-being; 3) the rental of items that are effective in caring for sensory discomfort and restoring composure; and 4) a buffet meal.
Through this trial, we will explore the potential needs of people who have previously found it difficult to take the first step to watch baseball, and use this information to improve the value of the experience in the future.

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. will continue to work with its partners to provide peace of mind when out and about in all kinds of settings, including sports and entertainment events, commercial and public facilities, and to deliver moving experiences in inclusive spaces.

About Sensory Friendly Bags

The bag and logo concept design concept design created by NOMURA Co.,Ltd. IVD, and the art on the bags was created in collaboration with the welfare experimental unit "HERALBONY."

As a ticket purchase bonus, customers will receive a "sensorial friendly bag" containing sensory items such as a hand spinner and a squeeze ball.

The bag concept design and the Sensory Friendly logo concept design were handled by NOMURA Co.,Ltd. IVD. The bag pattern features art by an artist contracted by Heralbony, a welfare experimental unit that collaborates with NOMURA Co.,Ltd. on various projects. The bag concept design aims to be suitable for everyday use as well as for events, as the company hopes to contribute to creating a society where everyone can easily go out.

Rental items: sunglasses, earmuffs, blankets, etc.
"Unpleasant sensations" and "comfortable sensations" are different for each individual. We have prepared items for loan that will prevent or keep away unpleasant sensations, as well as items that will protect your senses and pursue comfortable sensations.

Meals: Buffet
The renovated lounge area on the third floor is buffet style. The seats on the balcony side and the monitors showing live game footage make it comfortable to watch baseball games.
