About NOMURA Social Good R&D “Hand concept design”

To pass on the long relationship between the forest and people to the next generation through daily work.

NOMURA Group is working on sustainable concept design as a social good R&D activity. ``Hand concept design'' is a part of this activity, and with the aim of ``realizing a business that balances the creation of rich spaces and the creation of future forests,'' we are working on developing concept design that utilize the value of wood in collaboration with production areas. The content of our presentation at this event was created through our creators working together with the forestry/wood industry and local residents of Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, one of our partner production areas. The introduction area focuses on discarded wood chips and other materials and attempts to sublimate them into an installation. Born in Okayama Prefecture. His father is a first-class architect and a priest. He himself obtained the qualification of a Shinto priest several years ago. After completing graduate school at Tokyo University of the Arts, he joined NOMURA and worked in cultural facilities such as museums and corporate PR, and is currently mainly responsible for hotel and inn concept design and regional revitalization projects.
