Kinoshita Group ITTF PTT JAPAN PARA OPEN 2023 Cooperating with venue content to make the international para table tennis tournament even more enjoyable NOMURA is in charge of planning, concept design, and producing art displays and experience booths

NOMURA Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that the Para Table Tennis International Tournament "Kinoshita Group ITTF PTT JAPAN PARA OPEN 2023 (hereinafter referred to as JAPAN PARA OPEN)" will be held from August 30th. We cooperated in the planning and concept design so that a wide range of people could enjoy it.

JAPAN PARA OPEN is a global competition that brings together top para table tennis players from all over the world, and is an important competition that leads to participation in the Paris Paralympics. With the concept of “watching, playing, learning, creating a venue where you can enjoy the day” while watching the serious competition, we set up an area where you can play real sugoroku while experiencing the art displays of para-athletes and wheelchairs.

The art displays is based on the "PARA HEROes Exhibition displays held in 2021, and up-and-coming creators use various methods to express the appeal of the competition and players using para table tennis as a theme.
Para-Sports Sugoroku was born from a program called "Shibuya's Athletic Meet" on a radio station in Shibuya (87.6FM), and this time it will be held in the stadium concourse. You can experience the life of a para-athlete while riding in a wheelchair. Sugoroku also includes the athlete life of Tetsuo Nishizaki, a powerlifter who belongs to our company.
In addition, we are planning to hold a trial event for the topical portable chair born from IKOU, an inclusive brand for infants, so that a wider range of people can enjoy watching stadium games.

This event was realized as part of the social good activities accelerated by NOMURA in support of the efforts of the Para Table Tennis Association, which aims to spread diversity and inclusion. In order to provide Delight and Passion to as many people as possible, we aim to open up the possibilities of sports viewing facilities such as stadiums and arenas together with various stakeholders.

displays planning and venue concept design are handled by our designers Ryo Onishi and Akane Yamaguchi, who worked on the "PARA HEROes Exhibition".
