Kinoshita Group ITTF PTT JAPAN PARA OPEN 2023: NOMURA Co.,Ltd. is in charge of planning, concept design, and producing art displays and experience booths to enhance the enjoyment of the international para table tennis tournament.

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd. collaborated on the planning and design of the venue for the "Kinoshita Group ITTF PTT JAPAN PARA OPEN 2023 (hereinafter, JAPAN PARA OPEN)," an international concept design table tennis tournament to be held from August 30th, with the aim of making it enjoyable not only for those interested in sports but also for a wider range of people.

The JAPAN PARA OPEN is a world tournament that brings together top para table tennis players from all over the world and is an important tournament that leads to participation in the Paris Paralympics. While there will be serious matches to watch, the concept is to create a venue where you can "watch, play, learn, and enjoy yourself all day long," and we have set up an area where you can play a real-life board game while displays art by para athletes and experiencing what it's like to be in a wheelchair.

The art displays is based on the "PARA HEROes Exhibition displays held in 2021, and features up-and-coming creators expressing the appeal of the sport and its athletes through various methods, using para table tennis as their theme.
The Parasports Sugoroku (a Japanese board game) originated from the "Shibuya Sports Club" program on Shibuya Radio (87.6FM), and this time it will be played on the stadium concourse. You can experience the life of a para-athlete while in a wheelchair. The Sugoroku also includes the athletic career of Tetsuo Nishizaki, a powerlifter affiliated with our company.
Furthermore, a trial event for the popular portable chair from IKOU, an inclusive brand for infants and toddlers, is also planned, with the aim of making stadium viewing more enjoyable for a wider range of people.

This project was realized as part of NOMURA Co.,Ltd. 's accelerated social good activities, in support of the Para Table Tennis Association's efforts to promote diversity and inclusion. We aim to explore the possibilities of sports viewing facilities such as stadiums and arenas in collaboration with various stakeholders in order to provide Delight and Passion to even more people.

displays planning and venue concept design were handled by our company's designers, Ryo Onishi and Akane Yamaguchi, who also worked on the "PARA HEROes Exhibition."
