The book "Space concept design for Children and Adults," co-authored by Associate Professor Naka Ayako of the Department of Life concept design at Toyo University and NOMURA Co., Ltd. TeamM, which works to create environments where children and adults can live comfortably together, has won the 12th Kids concept design Award (sponsored by the Kids concept design Council, supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Consumer Affairs Agency). The Grand Prize, Excellence Prize, Encouragement Prize and Special Prize winners selected from the award-winning works will be announced on Tuesday, September 25th.
In order to explore common concept design concepts for creating "comfortable spaces for both children and adults," this book interviews facility designers and operators and introduces numerous good practices.
It is a book that considers future space creation, proposing a new space that is comfortable for both children and adults.

What is the Kids concept design Award?
The Kids concept design Award was established with the aim of selecting and widely disseminating to society outstanding works from among products, spaces, services, activities and research that fulfill the objectives of "ensuring a safe life for children," "enabling children to grow up with rich sensitivity and creativity," and "creating a society in which it is easy to have and raise children." Any concept design that takes children and parenting into consideration, including concept design developed for adults and the general public, is eligible.
