overview:
"Creating a place and a system for the children of the future."
To that end, NOMURA Co.,Ltd. 's TeamM operates under the concepts of "thinking about and discussing space" and "taking action for the future." What is needed to create a "place" that is comfortable for everyone who visits, not just children or adults? As designers, people involved in space creation, parents, and everyday people, we will look back at examples from the past and present to see how we approach the work of spatial concept design, and discuss our outlook for the future.

<Speaker profile>
・Facilitator: Mr. Yuta Uei
Future Sessions Co., Ltd. Innovation Facilitator
IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator. After graduating from Keio University and working at Denso Corporation, he joined Future Sessions Co., Ltd. in May 2013, empathizing with its vision. In September 2013, he was the youngest Japanese at that time to obtain an IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator (International Facilitators Association Certified Professional Facilitator). Conducted more than 80 facilitation sessions a year for corporate new business creation, organizational reform, administrative social problem solving, and community development. Currently, as a sports co-creation facilitator, he is engaged in numerous sessions and projects with the theme of "sports x business x region" such as the J League social collaboration project and the rugby co-creation project.


NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd. Team M
TeamM, made up of employees returning from childcare leave, was established in 2015 with the concept of "creating spaces and systems for the children of the future." They are involved in a variety of activities, including proposing concept design that utilize their experience in creating spaces and raising children, and conducting research in collaboration with industry and academia.

・Mari Matsumoto
After graduating from Musashino Art University, he joined NOMURA Co.,Ltd. in 1991. Since joining the company, he has been involved in museum displays concept design, and has been involved since the launch of Team M. He practices planning, concept design, workshops, and facilitation to create safe, secure, and comfortable spaces for children to spend time in, regardless of the genre of the space. Outside of the company, he is based at art museums and is involved in art appreciation facilitation and art event planning and implementation.

・Reiko Ibe
Graduated from Musashi Institute of Technology (now Tokyo City University) and joined NOMURA Co.,Ltd. in 2005. Engaged in various spatial creation and "space revitalization" work such as promotion and branding. At TeamM, he is involved in researching, creating tools, and planning for creating spaces related to children.

・Aya Nishimoto
After graduating from Waseda University, he joined NOMURA Co.,Ltd. in 2002. Since joining the company, he has been involved in planning and development work, mainly in the commercial sector, such as shopping centers and various specialty stores, and has been involved since the launch of TeamM. He is currently working on various business plans based on the theme of "creating an environment where child-rearing can be enjoyed, starting with creating a space."
