overview

The Wakura Onsen Festival Hall was built by renovating the Wakura Onsen Tourist Hall, which was built in response to the registration of the Seihakusai Festival Float Parade as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in December 2016. It serves as a new tourist hub to introduce the four festivals that Nanao City in Ishikawa Prefecture is proud of: the Seihakusai Festival, the Notojima Mukouda Fire Festival, the Ishizaki Houtou Festival, and the Okumakabuto Festival.
The facility promotes the charm of Nanao, centering on its festival culture, and offers a variety of fun activities for everyone, from children to adults and foreigners, including actual displays of giant lanterns and a simulated festival experience.
